Patients in hospitals often get sick and die from nosocomial infections. They can usually be prevented by having doctors, nurses, anyone touching the patients wash their hands between patients. But these hospital personnel often forget.

As a retired hospital pharmacist, I made a hobby of looking up the new drugs being marketed on TV. The FDA has been giving their ok to drugs that have limited efficacy and very serious side effects.
Side effects like serious infections and cancers. The TV ads show people who have (supposedly) taken these drugs having a great time, dancing, swimming, relaxing on vacation. Misleading.
I think the incidence of the side effects matters more than the severity. Take statins for example. All the fear-mongers say it causes liver injuries. In reality, liver injury needing medical attention happens to 2 people per 1,000,000 per year.
Some medications can predispose you to serious infections, but risk can be mitigated by vaccinating before taking the medication, checking for latent infections, and following infection prevention measures. Sometimes the benefits of the medicine outweigh those risk (not always obviously).
Our 'screaming louder than the Left' is happening with so many whistleblowers and others standing up & speaking out. We are doing that here & hopefully within our own 'circles'. OK folks.. is MAHA officially aligned with the Trump/Republican agenda writ large? I've been attending the weekly calls and get the distinct impression there is a bias that anyone not aligned with the R party is an enemy- " Leftist, Globalist, Puppets-of-the-Elites". I am not a Republican and find that most of what they hold true to be abhorrent. I am an urban organic farmer growing food for my neighbors, the ex-publisher of Organic Gardening magazine and agree with the bulk of MAHA's vision and mission. And currently, the concept of vaccination has not changed in over 200 years.. and even more interesting, western medicine had many incorrect and outdated ideas about medicine and health.. including bloodletting to restore harmony to the four humors, mercury for treating syphilis and as a laxative, and arsenic to treat fevers,anemia and syphilis, to name a few.
