Similarly, we have seen what happens when we try to change the vaccine schedule. We are up against powerful forces and even with the legal right we need tremendous public pressure to keep the law from being twisted back around on us.
Finally, banning mRNA is again a maneuver that requires evidence that we do not have. We have contested evidence of harms caused by the COVID vaccine - that is an indictment of one instance of the platform, not evidence that the platform itself is dangerous under all conditions. This is the way that science works. I agree that policy for medication should be guilty until proven innocent, but right now that is not what we have. Again, changing this takes time - it took a long time for us to get here.

This is the kind of infighting that we’re trying to avoid here. I understand your complaints, and they are valid, but they have to live within the reality we inhabit. What is the alternative? Are you suggesting that nothing has improved with RFK Jr in office?
How about the changes to the food pyramid that brought the message of questioning the public health narrative to a much broader audience? I get that the pyramid looks small, but it has gotten many to question medical advice. Focusing on issues for which there is clear evidence is helping to grow the movement and make it more inviting to newcomers.
There are two different fights here. You are arguing about policy changes - the results you want. The problem is that these can be easily undone by the next administration. We can burn any clout we have amassed by moving without clear evidence - and you will see the same outcome as what happened with changing the vaccine schedule. The other fight is that of public knowledge and opinion. Swaying this takes time and careful messaging. When your interest is the truth, swaying the public is incredibly difficult and takes time. You can’t fabricate convenient stories to capture the narrative. We don’t have the media on our side, which further impedes this objective.
Yet this is the most important goal. MAHA gets to live in office for 4 years, 2 of which are almost gone. The movement must be strong enough and large enough to survive whatever comes next.
