When it comes to hospital food getting better — and it absolutely needs to — MAHA should study how it was done at ours Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. A Four Seasons chef here was fed up with the lousy food and he completely revamped the hospital kitchen to stop using processed stuff and start doing fresh farm to table. The result has been amazing. Patients often learn they're eating better in the hospital than they were before. And lest anyone think that just wealthy white people go to our hospital, we are nearly 50 % Hispanic. And we have a large homeless population.
This is awesome! To your last couple of points, Polly: Zen Honeycutt shared a story of an Hispanic single mother of 4 whose young son was exhibiting extremely hostile behavior and the school wanted to put him on meds. Zen advised the Mom to feed the kid only organic food - and lest people think you can only do things with money - this Mom fed her son organic beans and rice for a couple of months and turned his life around completely - B3 deficiency was resolved.
I love that, Anna. One of the things I'm hoping MAHA gets on is re-establishing home ec in schools. I grew up in Santa Barbara where I live now, after decades away in NYC. When I was in public high school here in the late sixties, I took home ec. My counselor told me I was too smart to take it, but I did. It was the one class that taught me life survival lessons. Our teacher would give us food stamps and we'd go across the street to the supermarket and have to bring back ingredients to cook into a week of nutritious meals. The kids in home ec were from working class families. The class I took right after was one for college bound kids. It was called “American Problems” and was revisionist history bs class. I would sit in class when the teacher talked about how hunger in America was due to bad white people (it was all white upper middle class kids in the class) and think how ironic I got out of a class that solves the problem of hunger and now I'm in a class that does nothing but teach Leftwing bs and solves zero. Yes, back then CA wasn't just organic hippies, who were actually doing good, there were already these joyless Leftists intent on taking over. And they unfortunately did.
It's way past time the focus of healthcare is placed back onto root causes and prevention (aka real HEALTHcare). BigPharma and BigMedical won't like this one bit, as it will destroy their SICKcare model by taking away their lifelong customer base, hence demolishing their profit margins. Finally!
Once again, I can’t forward this to friends who are independents or democrats because of this line, which is totally unnecessary in the article and adds nothing: “Democrats have shut down the federal government in an effort to blackmail Congress into more funds for the oxymoronically named Affordable Healthcare Act.” I keep telling people that MAHA should not be and is not partisan, but then I keep seeing shots being taken. This article was good, except this just turned off almost half of the people who could be part of the movement. I want to share and spread the word, but if it’s partisan I won’t.
I wish more smart people like you would add a profile picture, and stand up to share to those friends you wish everything you listed for yourself, for them. All love no hate at all. But if we dont get everyone stepping up for what's right & the courage to Say it with pride, this may become a struggle that some of us just have to keep fighting harder for. I have no problem providing piggy back rides. But some of yall are hanging around the dividing line too long. Erase the line. Unite. This is about inclusiveness. On the diabetes front, I listened to Kelsey Dexter, an endocrinologist based in TN about Sunlight as nutrient, and reduced my A1C from 5.9 to 5.6 in about 5 weeks by implementing things she mentioned into my routine to align with circadian rhythms. I believe there are simple ways to try to support this type of activity in rural areas. Bobby and Dr. Oz talked in one of their posts about just getting out first thing in the morning and walking in the sun for 15 minutes...

I did not understand half of what you wrote. But, America does not deserve the Trump leadership as you claim (that I understood ) . And Tucker hangs out with racists like Fuentes. You feel OK with that ? Even other MAGA people are outraged. And some went on CNN to express that outrage. That does not mean I agree with everything on CNN, I am more to the LEFT than they are. The MAHA program must educate people about the value of whole natural foods vs processed ones. People have little awareness of the importance of eating natural unprocessed food. It is very important for people to get the concept of eating... at least ten servings or more of fruits and vegetables daily for their bulk and fiber in order to keep the food moving in the intestinal tract in the human body. Many have trouble with constipation. I am appalled, when i see the promotion of fast foods and sweet treats with their health-destroying sugar and flour, I learned 64 years ago about the dangers of sugar and flour. These were the first things I removed from my diet. If people want to be healthy, they have to realize that what they are putting in their mouth...will either create health or illness. I am so grateful a good friend handed me some health and nutrition books in 1961 and said "Start reading."..The first thing I read was: Sugar creates hyperactivity...and the second thing Tranquilizers STUNT the developing organs of children. My 4 year old son had just been put on tranquilizers. His pediatrician was the one who had told me how to feed him, since he was born with many sugar-containing foods. This is how I got into health research in 1961...I immediately connected the dots...and realized, if I wanted the truth...I had to do my own research. NEW YORK — Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.
They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
