By fooling around with mother nature for convenience our health is being compromised!

Regenerative farmers need to be compensated to encourage farming practices that do not harm us!

All farmers should be given incentives to gradually change their practices.

Research also ,should be rewarded with grants to improve our soils without dangerous chemicals.

I am amazed at how many people are not aware of how ‘round up ‘is detrimental to our health.

At the local level communities should be educating through library programs to encourage people not to use ‘round up ‘on their property or on school playgrounds.

Change is not easy, nor is it quick to encompass in our lives healthy practices . To make American healthy again it’s a joint effort!

I've been using a solution of vinegar, salt and dishsoap, but I've wondered if it's actually any better and would genuinely like your opinion on this matter.

I use vinegar and salt on driveways and areas where I will never grow anything, but I use only vinegar in garden areas. Our soil is on the alkaline side so the vinegar hasn't seemed to have a negative effect. Of course it can't be used on the plants you want to keep.

Grundwald is simply a shill for Bayer previously Monsanto.

Rachel Carson sounded the alarm decades earlier with her Silent Spring reveal.

We might have learned then and not been early.

Educating the clueless. Home Depot sells this cancer causing toxin from premium ailse ends.

In 1962 Rachel Carson published Silent Spring with the receipts.

That was 63 years ago... It was not the first "warning"

The techniques for soil remediation are well known and implemented.

We do not need more "research" as that is a dog chasing its tail.

Philosophy of health is the way forward. It is not a matter of what "not" to do,

it is what to do. That requires re-education.

Change is a word for redirecting false beliefs. That requires admission.

America was never particularly healthy. That is a slogan tethered to MAGA

Wake up People.

Excellent report. As you mentioned, farmers cannot change their dependence on these chemicals overnight. And the only way to permanently close the door on the chemical agricultural era is to support and to financially incentivize farmers to move away from current synthetic chemicalized farming practices. That means removing tax subsidies for unsustainable chemical agriculture, and/or providing equal subsidies for healthy, regenerative agriculture. Sometimes solutions for serious problems are much easier by simply removing or revising govt legislation/regulations that actually created them to begin with

Mono Cropping as part of the "Green Revolution" was stupid on steroids.

The solution is to put an end to mono cropping that grow animal fodder.

Howz about basic health comprehension?

I knew glyphosate was toxic, but this article was great in explaining something I previously didn't understand: why you cannot simply make using glyphosate illegal. It offered a pathway, incentives to farmers to more toward regenerative, organic farming, and I found it very educational and inspiring. Also appreciate that this is not a partisan article because Americans health should not be a partisan issue. MAHA!

The reason you did not understand the details is because you did not look.

Any Farmer remotely interested in health knew the details over 20 years ago.

If they did not know they are not farmers.

If you took it as an insult take a sober look in the mirror and adress whether it is true of false.

In 2011 all four of my oncologists in different cities and states said Round-up is the primary cause of Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma. One in Nebraska said the groundwater is poisoned with it. I had used roundup on my lawn for years thinking it was perfectly safe because Home Depot sold it. When I tried to take it back to the store, they refused because it was classified as Hazardous Waste as soon it was purchased. Before purchase "Perfectly safe". After purchase "Hazardous waste". Insanity rules. Try the experiment yourself for the proof.

Glyphosate will be humanity's line in the sand. Allowing or regulating substances that interfere with life on earth may be the reasons for our current civilization to fail. Mental and physical health of earth's dominant animals and most of the others are failing due to pollution that science has verified as hazardous but corporations who give their attention mostly to their bottom lines will fight until they, we and our children cannot survive. Can the seemingly insane leaders of our current world believe they'll be able to survive? Evidence points to a declining level of mental and physical health because of tainted food supplies and environmental exposure. The powerful will suffer too. How does humanity get over the threshold of greedy corpratisim and to a point of peaceful coexistence? Worldwide regenerative farming is a great start to elevating our collective mental health. Peace now!

As a farmer I strongly resent arguments that farmers cannot grow crops without incentives. Anyone will take advantage of incentives, if available, but without them we will follow the market. If consumers reject GMOs and pesticide companies pay for the damages use of their products cause, the glyphosate problem will disappear. Farmers who can't live without incentives will convert or go out of a business they shouldn't be in to start with if they can't grow without them. Others will take their place and farm to meet the market. That is what needs to change.

Exactly. You illustrate that farmer welfare is not the way forward.

The brains of all legislators have been compromised, too. Chemicals wipe out the ability of the mind to think, reason and remember. The toxic chemical onslaught has been going on for generations...and no one is safe. Legislators have to eat and they are exposed daily to the toxic matter in our food. I have known for over 50 years that PESTICIDES ARE POISON. I had a sign in my office PESTICIDES ARE POISON, when I did nutritional consultations for 30 years. They are in the food that every person is eating today. Legislators don't study nutrition and neither do most doctors. I have been into nutrition research for 64 years. How many people are aware that Glyphosate and other poisonous sprays destroy the organisms in the soil that provide nutrients to the crops, plants and trees. Our whole world is being inundated with poison...and the SOIL SUSTAINS LIFE!

50 plus years of knowledge and wisdom. Some of us did study nutrition including graduate level. One little known way Glyphosate kills weeds is by chelating minerals necessary for

plant biology resulting in deficiency culminating in plant death to include dessication.

As you point out these toxic chemicals destroy soil microflora.
