Several years ago, I had an MRI to examine my arthritic spine prior to a surgery. The radiologist noted I had a large cyst on my left kidney and recommended a follow up CT scan. The scan revealed a complex cyst and I was told 80% are caused by cancer. The subsequent partial nephrectomy revealed a clear cell renal carcinoma. The surgery was done robotically and I was up and about rapidly.
