Mercury makes you sick and then you need other medications or procedures. Modern medicine. A $4 Trillion industry. Dentistry is just one of those arms: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/healthcare-the-4-trillion-empire

Why isn’t mercury avoided in ALL dental work?? I changed dentists because mine insisted there was no danger using mercury!! Insanity! What do they teach in dental school??

WARNING: Should anyone choose to detox/cleanse heavy metals, make sure you don't have residue of mercury left under a replacement porcelain cap of a tooth that had mercury removed by a dentist. In dental school, it is taught to just "cut off the top mercury, and leave the rest embedded in the tooth; and cover with porcelain. There is now a hazmat procedure to remove the mercury by a Dentist. If you still have mercury in your mouth it is constantly putting out gas; and is lethal.

Oh no!! That’s terrible! Are you sure this is still a possibility?? I had all 13 fillings replaced many years ago after I finally found a holistic dentist. I seriously doubt he would do that!

Having mercury fillings in the mouth might depend on how old one is. Dentists stopped using mercury to fill, at a certain point in time. I am 77 and in 2013 when I began the Homeopathic D/C, I still had two teeth with mercury underneath the two porcelain caps. In the 80s, before Biological Dentists were formed, I had a Dentist remove my mercury fillings. At some point the Dental schools created the training of Biological Dentists, to put on hazmat suits and remove the mercury in total, before capping the tooth. Many don't know they still have mercury underneath a porcelain cap, as I didn't know in 2013, when I thought I had had mercury fillings removed. The Dental Schools were just teaching to cut off the top portion of the tooth and covered up with porcelain.

When will the American Indians be allowed to grow hemp and marijuana for their people that need this medicine? Cannabis medicine replaced Rx Heroin in America the year was 1914.

In Northern California the last wild American Indian named Ishi came out of the wilderness. He lived around a place called Black Rock, the cowboys killed his people 60 years before...ISHI is known in Northern California... I have been to Black Rock in the Ishi wilderness area... my point is why arrest Indians for wanting freedom to grow the cannabis plant. Just wondering.

In this day and age, with full knowledge of the dangers of mercury, I am astounded that it is still being used anywhere on ANYONE for human consumption or healthcare. As a victim of mercury poisoning myself thru dental amalgams I did my homework and research and this was all known to me OVER 20 YEARS AGO! The ADA American Dental Assoc, which was formed after an earlier dental group THAT DIDN'T ALLOW THE USE OF MERCURY, they decided that they wanted to allow the use of mercury and when they then became the official dental association they actually bought the PATENT RIGHTS TO IT! SO THEY KNOWINGLY OWN THE DENTAL MERCURY NIGHTMARE THAT HAS BEEN FOISTED UPON US! I suffered horrifically for 20yrs bc I was unaware what was causing my debilitating illness which has consequently left me w secondary issues. This is ALL IATROGENIC 'ILLNESSES'. I'd like to think it's also IDIOPATHIC but it's not, the idiots know full well what they are doing. FYI, mercury is the 2nd most toxic element known to man.

Why hasn’t this insane practice been banned long long ago??

EXACTLY. $$$$$

Important article and so well done. I have not seen any other coverage on this issue (particularly in the Native media) that has been so comprehensive and well researched. Most of all, I am happy to see Anne Keala Kelly contributing to the MAHA Report. I have missed her insight, wisdom, intelligence and - most of all - excellent writing. I hope she will continue to be asked to write more in the future.

I wish they'd put mercury back in thermometers though as an option. Digital thermometers are garbage. I know well enough not to chew on glass. The nanny state is stupid.

Amazing that most people do not seem to care about a toxic element like mercury.

Here is the situation in Canada, especially at a Native Reservation in Canada called Grassy Narrows.:

Mercury contamination remains a critical environmental and public health issue in Canada, particularly affecting Indigenous communities and those relying on subsistence fishing, due to high methylmercury levels in predatory fish. While overall industrial emissions have dropped significantly—by over 60% in the last decade—regional hotspots exist, notably in Northern Canada and the Grassy Narrows reservation area.

Key Findings on Mercury in Canada

Health Risk: While average Canadian exposure is low, methylmercury pose a significant risk to vulnerable groups (pregnant women, children, Indigenous populations) consuming large, predatory fish.

Contamination Hotspots: High mercury levels are found in fish in parts of southeastern Canada, the Western/High Arctic, and specifically the English-Wabigoon River system in Ontario.

Grassy Narrows Crisis: In the 1960s/70s, ~9,000 kg of mercury was dumped into the English-Wabigoon river. Recent studies suggest ongoing, worsening contamination, with 90% of members in the Grassy Narrows First Nation suffering from symptoms of mercury poisoning.

Sources of Pollution: Major sources include industrial air emissions (iron, steel, coal-fired power), waste management (68% of water releases), and, historically, chloralkali plants.

Trends: Environmental levels are generally decreasing across Canada, but increasing trends have been observed in some Arctic animals and locations.

Action and Management:

Regulations: Canada has implemented strict controls, including caps on coal-fired electricity emissions and reductions in industrial releases.

Advisories: Health Canada recommends limits on the consumption of predatory fish (tuna, shark, swordfish) for sensitive groups.

Remediation: There is ongoing pressure for cleanup of contaminated sites, such as the Wabigoon River system

So he is aware of the danger of Mercury in dentistry procedure and decides to ban it but he approves Trump executive order to make more glyphosate with

liability protection to pesticides makers? Looks like he picks and choose what is deadly and dangerous for our health...😡
