We've gotten so far away from nature that many people don't know what real food is. It does not come from a box or jar with a long list of ingredients. Real food is surprisingly simple. Plant foods are grown without chemicals in soil. Animal foods are raised in pastures, again without chemicals or genetically modified feed. In both cases, they are not grown as huge monocultures, but as biodiverse ecosystems that do not degrade the Earth but regenerate it. We complicate things to our own detriment. Just my opinion, but it has made the difference in my own life and helped me survive many health challenges.

A very good start to cleaning up our food. We can also figure out who in Congress is on board with MAHA and who is not. I am glad to see that both bills have bipartisan sponsors.

A study is needed? Real food is a new concept to be investigated? I have heard of wasting tax money but this one beats the band.

I agree. However, that's the way government works -- we must prove the obvious. Big Food is spending a lot of money right now misinforming people that MAHA is fearmongering and that high fructose corn syreup etc. are just fine. We must prove the improved health outcomes and then imlement at scale.

Every senior deserves a supplement to buy healthy food and good vitamins. That should happen immediately. I know what my body needs to stay healthy but I can't afford it most weeks. Also, prescription plans should involve ways to buy the important vitamins we need. I have had a list in my Amazon cart for months but no extra money to purchase them. It's incredibly frustrating.

Actually fresh produce is not that expensive and is filling whereas processed foods are not.

From the article: "It proposes creating a pilot program that bundles payments to healthcare providers who integrate fresh produce into health management to address chronic disease." Does this mean that Doctors would get money for 'encouraging' their patients to eat more produce? If so, that reminds me of the C19 jabs. I'm not sure that's the best approach.

It’s good to see bipartisan support for these healthy issues. Health should be bi-partisan. The Health Freedom movement had bi partisan support in its heyday in the early nineties.

There are many studies but corporate ‘science’ true to muddy the issue with balance diet etc.

Thanks John. I won't have to be in the "control-group" this time. ;-D

We all know that’s much more important than making sure that glyphosate is not sprayed on our Food or appeal is not sprayed on our food. Those things just don’t matter. 😩 🙄🤬

Stop subsidizing crap & subsidize actual food! Veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds-this isn’t difficult.
