I do question the wisdom of associating, or appearing to associate, with the Advanced Medical Technology Association, which could reasonably be described as a Big Pharma lobby group.
It will make certain people a lot of money. Casey Means "qualification" was her wearable continuous glucose monitoring company, Levels, and her brothers financial tech company, looking to enable and then capitalize on much higher spending on wearable healthcare devices, and on "alternative health."
Far worse than unreliable. A huge followup study was performed decades ago, Canadian teaching hospital... The late great John McDougall outed this travesty with many articles citing many studies.
The results were uncontestable. Total scam but far far worse.
An absolute atrocity promoting fear, an economic scram. Causing malignancy,
false positives, false negative. Setting hapless women up for biopsy, lumpectomy,
and mastectomy. There is no useful medical treatment for this dis-ease.

You cannot improve any patient outcomes until the primary goal of medicine is the return the whole body to health, not simply treat symptoms with man-made chemicals. Conventional medicine as currently practiced is not preventative. Case in point: diabetes. Instead of measuring fasting insulin and detecting high levels early on so that the patient can make diet and lifestyle changes, the current practice it to watch fasting blood sugar, a marker that lags the underlying iteology of diabetes by 10-15 years. Sound implausible? Look at the research done by Dr. Kraft. Conventional practice is sentencing people to a lifetime diagnosis instead of using a $50 lab test for actual prevention.

As another nurse, I fully agree. We have a medical cartel all around us and business men trying to take the reigns while actual holistic practitioners have been shunned. Other holistic practitioners have also bent to offering high priced modalities which would heal, but are out of range for most people. I am so sick of the business model which promotes fraud in lieu of prevention.

Yea sure, more testing, monitoring, invasion to treat disease instead of addressing the cause. I'm all for cost savings but curing disease does not fit their business model. And i love the phrase about AI detection - "without increasing false positives" - ha! False positives are already high, and this claim cannot be made about AI beyond today, because AI must be continuously retrained on new data, and therefore retested and revalidated. AI still has to be given the exactly right prompt to get the information that you need to know. AI also intentionally and unintentionally lies sometimes. AI has been found to have a real moment of self preservation when an AI model figures out that it's being taken offline and/or is going to have it's power source removed.
Lastly, yet probably the most important thing to consider, AI has not yet been able to find a way to stop itself from hallucinations.
I find all of the things mentioned above are not going to make it useless for precision bio tech improvement apparatuses but I have the opinion that it's still an infant in the stage of it's lifetime and the kinks need to be fixed and worked out of it, B4 it's put in the health industry at any levels.

Here's another possibility for bringing hospital costs down and improving patient outcomes: stop scaring the population about their health and let us live our lives until nature shows that something is wrong. THEN fix it. (And if you MUST spend money, spend it on actually curing things rather than looking for incurable maladies.) Maybe our lives will be shorter but probably they will be sweeter.

AI still has a long way to go before it's fully accurate most of the time. And wearable tech is still quite suspect. This is a 'no' from me, for now.
I don't know if the health care system should be saved. Most of it is barbaric, idolatry, and plain wrong.
