Misdiagnosed for 13 years. It was 1986. It’s now chronic and I still get gaslighted. Make the cdc change the bands since they took away many that in fact prove a patient is positive. Drs say oh you only have two bands your negative. Change the criteria. If not patients will suffer more.

Formerly_Known_As_Someone's avatar

Me too and they need to test for coinfectionx. Simply acknowleding these diseases exist is more than most doctors do. Shunting us off woth wastebasket diagnoses like CFS/fibro does not help.

Kathy's avatar

They did that to me as well. My heart was racing and I was told I was anxious. Just relaxing and boom heart rate of over 100 something or more. In and out of the hospital and told to see a shrink. Now chronic along with other immune issues.

Formerly_Known_As_Someone's avatar

Omg. Sorry to hear that. I hope you get better. I had night sweats, a rash (not bullet), a neurological traveling itch weird eye stuff. Tremors, feelings like water was dripping on me, and my arm would sometimes rise a few inches on its own. Much of this from babesia. Which can (rarely) kill people but they did just the Elisa test. And then said see a shrink. One of my CFS drs., after years of practice, had just learned about babs and said many patients were testing positive for it!

After a while I got somewhat better but years later the CFS (they call it CFS from Lyme—it is different) really hit and I wasn’t able to function for a couple years. Never went to hospital Finally got some treatment for the babs. Am mostly okay now except chronic achiness and food sensitivities.

Some of the neuro stuff like the feeling of water dripping came back 30 years later when I sat near freshly Covid-vaxxed people.

I think it’s very difficult to treat after people have it for a while and I’m not sure how they’re going to train doctors especially those who are brainwashed. I remember when you were not allowed to say the ILADS doctors’ names online. The whole experience turned me into a Covid skeptic because I felt like I’ve seen this movie before. That is, after they started vilifying the doctors who were treating it early.

Some of the Co-infections are very difficult to find. For instance, Babesia… a red blood cell parasite, treated with antimalarial medication’s, is not easily found because they literally go inside your red blood cells in order to lay their eggs! So gross so gross, but this is the reality and if they don’t happen to get a blood specimen that has a parasite floating around outside the red blood cell, they’ll miss it. The Babesia is sometimes better diagnosed. through your symptoms. My heart was missing beats or skipping beats. It would get stuck and feel like something thick was going through it and couldn’t get through easily. My heart rhythms were off. And I was so out of breath. I felt like I was 90 years old just doing the simplest task like walking from one room to the next. This is Babesia. At least the main symptoms I was experiencing.

Yes I’m a nurse and I’ve had a few years to do some research on this . So they do have blood test to check the levels for a spike in some of the bacterial infections. Some of these infections can also be carried by biting flies and now we have this new issue with the blow fly’s that have entered into our country from Central America. They need only land on the host have a little bite and lay hundreds of eggs that then turn into worms that work through the body and make huge abscesses in other areas that erupt . So far it’s in 3 states and only in live stock and a few dogs . However it’s summer and the Veterinarian has told me it’s going to get worse . They have a hard time controlling flies in the summer and we have so much rain . They are going to stop allowing people to travel with their dogs to Mexico and although it is normally found more in Central America, it’s clearly here now . The amount of unwanted animals and “ pets “ that have been allowed into this country was the cause . As a nurse the rise in cases of diseases and illnesses that we had not seen in decades is definitely related to open borders. So no matter what your politics are on this, it’s truly not SAFE to allow unchecked entry into our borders with no restrictions or quarantine and it’s here ! So it’s like putting toothpaste back in the tube . The fact is it’s a danger for everyone to allow it. Yes they brought dogs and other animals into this country! Those animals were never checked for diseases or even held to see if they had any issues; just as the humans did not ! It’s not political it’s a health issue and it is an emergency. No other country will allow this type of nonsense! 🇺🇸

Mary Troiano's avatar

Also, I forgot to add….Babesia cause the red blood cells to clump together. Which is why there were times my blood flow would be impaired and feel like it was stuck and not getting through my heart. Also, that’s the reason that people are extremely short of breath. The red blood cells are not freely oxygenating the blood.

My son had two diagnoses but the hospital wouldn't accept it because they were antibody tests. The Lyme disease test and tick born co infecfections yield false negatives in half the cases. There are new tests supposedly coming out soon, but it could take years for hospitals to implement them.

Mary Troiano's avatar

As far as I know, there are two specific labs in the country that are reliable. One is definitely in California (IGeneX) and possibly another now is in Connecticut.

Lyme disease was detected by Nazi scientists in the 1920-30.

The Nazi started it to use it as a bioweapon.

I was bitten and diagnosed by my Doctor and the state and CDC came to take blood samples. I actually had RMSF , but it also causes AG and other serious health issues. It was within 3 weeks of finding the tick and symptoms started in a couple of weeks. IGG levels were very high. I still have food allergies and CFS - joint pain just a life changing experience totally. I hope they can help with this . For me avoiding food is the most effective way.

Mary Troiano's avatar

There’s a PCR test that will show if it’s still active or not. At the time my doctor wanted me to get this test it was illegal in New York! Believe that? Illegal to prove if a debilitating disease is still active or not. That’s New York for you. I was advised to contact a doctor in New Jersey or Connecticut to have it done. Perhaps you can go online and start making some calls to doctors who treat Lyme to see if they give that test.

Kathy's avatar

Are you in NJ? I am and still haven’t found a physician. NY is a horrible drive for us. Conn is far .

A heartfelt thank you to secretary Kennedy. I honestly didn’t think we would see this in our lifetime. My wife has suffered from debilitating chronic Lyme disease her whole adult life. We didn’t even recognize what it was for a few decades. It’s been a long, difficult journey. Ignorant doctors, lack of treatment options, and most importantly the refusal of the healthcare insurance industry to recognize it and cover treatment. Praying all of that changes in the near future.

Thank you RFK Jr. 💚

It’s about time. I was bitten as a child & lost my heath entirely at age 41. Misdiagnosed the whole time.

•I lost EVERYTHING.

My homes, cars, husband, career, my retirement gone. I lost friends and a decent quality of life like other human beings have.

•Trying to survive on SSD alone is impossible. The COLA isn’t keeping up with Inflation. Lyme is a REAL financial disaster. After loosing every penny to out of pocket costs, I now struggle to pay bills. Food or meds?

I have a check from Fidelity for $.01 when they closed out my 401k. I also had to file bankruptcy.

•I was told over & over again, it’s all in my head and have been under Psychiatric care since age 15. I never imagined my life would turn out this way.

•I began to advocate with Center for Lyme Action in 2019 when the organization began. I’m very grateful for the support and funding we have gotten, but this needs to be blown wide open. We need all hand on deck. Politicians, Associations, Doctor education, surveillance and more.

I’d still like to know if this was a bioweapon created by the DOD over 50 years ago. Where are the reparations?

Again, THANK YOU for bringing Lyme to the forefront. It’s long overdue.

Letsrock's avatar

I am so sorry that you've had to go thru all this, it's inhumane. My brother was misdiagnosed for 9yrs. Idk if it was his compromised immune system or what but he then got cancer and passed away at 60yo. I very much believe this was a man made disease originating at that lab out on Long Island. I doubt, however, that they will ever let it be proven let alone admit to it.

Nurse Outlier's avatar

It definitely was the DOD that unleashed this on us. I recommend reading the book Bitten by Kris Newby.

Connie Tate's avatar

As if just surviving the gaslighting weren't bad enough, too many Lyme and tick-borne disease patients go bankrupt just to afford treatment--that is those who even have the financial resources to get treated. Lyme doctors don't take insurance because insurance won't pay for necessary treatment, or alternative treatments like Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy. We need HHS to step up to the plate and make insurance coverage mandatory! We also need consortiums of Lyme treating doctors and other practitioners that collaborate on patient care! The landscape of treating physicians is fragmented and inadequate, in large part because TBD physicians have been threatened with delicensing (and in some cases had their licenses revoked) and in other ways harassed! AND I WISH DOCTORS TREATING LYME AND COVID/VAX INJURED PATIENTS WOULD JOIN FORCES INSTEAD OF BEING SILOED! AND CAN WE HAVE SOME LAWSUITS???!!! THE IDSA AND CDC HAVE HAD TOO MUCH POWER WHICH IS WHY MORE LAWSUITS HAVEN'T BEEN FILED! THESE FINANCIALLY AND POLITICALLY COMPROMISED BAD ACTORS HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH THEIR CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR FOR TOO LONG. JUSTICE MUST BE DONE!

Letsrock's avatar

AMEN CONNIE! I don't trust anything the CDC would be involved with but would like to hear more from RFK about plans for getting the diseased ticks under control baring in mind that chemicals and/or poisoning will only further the destruction of the natural food chain/environment which includes us humans. I am also dismayed to hear at this late point in time how people are still being misdiagnosed but then again the entire medical establishment has apparently collapsed and gone stupid since their Covid debacle. It is completely incomprehensible that both Fauci and Gates are still allowed to breathe.

Thank you for caring. As a parent of a child who had tuberous sclerosis, trying to get treatment him for Lyme disease was impossible. The doctors block treatment by reporting parents who use herbal antimcrobials and report the naturopathic doctors to the medical board for medical mismanagement just because they try to help when we paid out of pocket. Insurances won't cover any of it.

FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT: The Milo Act

Estimated Annual Savings per Medically Complex Child: $92,000 – $198,000+ [2, 5]

1. Elimination of Foster Care Placement Costs

When a child with medical complexity is removed from their home, the state must pay

specialized foster care rates.

● Specialized Placement: In states like Texas, the daily rate for a child with "Complex

Medical Needs" is $187.80 per day (~$68,547 annually).

● Residential Facilities: If specialized foster homes are unavailable, costs for residential

treatment centers can exceed $400 per day (~$146,000 annually).

● Milo Act Impact: By preventing removals based on medical disagreements, the state

avoids these direct placement costs entirely. [5, 6]

2. Reduction in Medicaid Expenditures

Children in state custody automatically qualify for full Medicaid coverage, with the state

assuming 100% of the medical financial risk. [1, 7]

● State-Funded Care: Average healthcare costs for children with medical complexity in

the welfare system can reach $134,308 per year.

● Milo Act Impact: Families using "alternative healthcare" often pay for these services

out-of-pocket or via private insurance. This bill shifts the financial burden from the

taxpayer back to the private sector. [8]

3. Avoidance of Administrative and Legal Costs

Every "medical neglect" investigation and subsequent removal triggers a costly chain of

state-funded services.

● Case Costs: A single child welfare investigation is estimated to cost taxpayers at least

$2,243, while a full removal involving court proceedings and caseworkers averages

$32,711 per child.

● Long-Term Burden: For every $1.00 spent on a child in foster care, the state sees a

negative $3.64 return on investment due to the long-term negative outcomes associated

with removal. [9, 10]

One more thought. I just finished listening to Dr. Francis Boyle's interview with journalist Christine Dolan. Dr. Boyle, for those who do not know, was a Harvard trained attorney and researcher in International law who taught international law at the University of Illinois College of Law.[1] He served as counsel for Bosnia and Herzegovina and supported the rights of Palestinians and indigenous peoples. He was also the architect of the Bioweapons Convention of 1989. I can't emphasize enough how important his work and insights are! I highly recommend listening to this interview, (https://cdm.press/video/2023/05/07/livestream-1230pm-est-the-globalists-in-plain-sight-dr-francis-boyle/) in which he lays out the ways the US has circumvented and violated the convention, working on GoF and synthetic biology, with the funding and assistance from DARPA, and continues bioweapons research to this day. Professor. Boyle's comments are revelatory and disturbing.

What has this got to do with HHS Secretary Kennedy? He cannot continue to champion public health without at some point addressing this explosive issue. (I sometimes think he would have been better served by taking a position as atty. general in the Trump administration, where he would be in a position to prosecute these criminals and hold their feet to the fire.) How much he can achieve as head of the HHS is anybody's guess, but this is the elephant in the room on steroids! And Kennedy is well aware of these transgressions--he did after all, write a book on it -- the Wuhan Coverup. The recent outbreak of Alpha Gal Syndrome--which may or may not be a bioengineered, tick born organism begs this question. I hope someone who has his ear gets his attention on this issue. Otherwise we can expect another Covid, this time even more deadly.

Letsrock's avatar

You're right Connie, Bobby should have been AG.

Jayne Doe's avatar

He should have said, "the era of gaslighting Americans suffering from covid vaccine injuries and deaths is over."

And the Lymerix vaccine. I went through it in 2000. What happened with the covid vaccine was very similar to Lymerix, though nobody was forcing it, thankfully. I always urge people to watch Under Our Skin. It outlines the history of Lyme testing and treatment..and why we still have no cure or good tests. It all ties back to the Lymerix vaccine and conflicts of interest.

Simple solutions are missed because there's no drama involved, no flash. Guinea Hens do eat ticks. Imagine managing the down-sizing of the tick population by letting these small birds loose, every morning, to forage. Do individuals keep a couple, several, in their backyards? Does a town contract a guinea hen herder, like the goat herder, who releases his goats to tackle weed clearance? Do the Feds come in with mandates.... Why not? This is likely the least expensive, and doable solution.

Bo's avatar

Speaking of lawsuits, why has there been no charges filed on the corruption within the CDC before Bobby Kennedy.

Kennedy’s ouster of US vaccine advisors puts pharma ties under scrutiny | Reuters https://share.google/omGzo28XYgwKpwtAV

According to financial disclosures reviewed following their dismissal in June 2025, seven of the committee members had received direct personal payments from pharmaceutical companies ranging from $4,000 to $55,000 between 2017 and 2023.A further breakdown of the financial ties for the group includes:Significant Personal Compensation (7 members): These members received payments totaling between $4,000 and $55,000. These payments were primarily for consulting fees, speaking honoraria, travel, and meals.Dr. Oliver Brooks was specifically identified as receiving approximately $44,000 in general payments, largely from Sanofi, before 2021.Dr. Edwin Asturias received smaller amounts (described as "a few hundred to a few thousand") for consultation and speaking, distinct from his research funding.Nominal Payments (6 members): Six other members received a total of $80 or less over the same period, likely representing incidental costs like meals provided at conferences.Research Funding (Not Personal Income): Several members, including Dr. Helen Keipp Talbot (Chair) and Dr. Edwin Asturias, were listed in databases for significantly larger sums (e.g., Asturias' institution received ~$3.9 million). However, these funds were research grants paid to their universities for conducting clinical trials, not personal compensation paid to the doctors themselves. In total, while most members had some record of industry interaction (13 out of the group), only seven received amounts considered to be direct personal compensation beyond nominal expenses.AI can make mistakes, so double-check responses

Ha ha ha — nothing more than more shenanigans :

“The centerpiece of the new efforts to combat the illness is a multi-million-dollar pilot program led by the CDC and leading researchers to ELIMINATE TICKS on wildlife before they can transmit diseases to humans.”

Sounds like dreaming up more poison to apply. Or maybe Gate$ has some other taxpayer funded scheme up his sleeve for a GMO mosquito dispatch to “ eliminate TICKS”….and where he and other billionaires will siphon off (steal) $millions.

Oh yeah, how about a new poison mRNA vaccine for that? And HHS can issue a special PREP Act exception for any harm it causes.
