I first learned about the Falun Gong organ harvesting when I was living in downtown NYC over a decade ago and would walk by practitioners on my way to Chinatown. I learned from talking to some of them about the organ harvesting in China. So I became one of the early subscribers to Epoch Times and also sent small donations to the Campaign for Uyghurs. It was astonishing to me that people I knew in NYC who considered themselves informed knew nothing about this. When I would suggest they read Epoch Times they would snort with derision at what they saw as a right wing conspiracy theory spreader. These were people in the media. They couldn’t be bothered to set aside their prejudices to read about something. I told them that reading about it didn’t make me right wing, it just made me informed. No response. The CCP has been very effective at enlisting the American legacy media in its plans.

I am a democratic socialist and I would rather see far-right Falun Gong run China than the odious Communist Part. But that is not going to happen for a long long time, if ever.
Agree, Marc. Speaking of Democratic Socialists, has Mamdani spoken on behalf of the Uyghers? Or is he too busy trying to get the unions to keep NYC going during the snowstorm and begging for favors from Donald? I lived in downtown NYC for 30 years before moving back home to the central coast of California saw some of the aftermath of the Lindsay Democratic Socialist years…. Taxi Driver wasn’t a fictional movie, it was a documentary.
Of course I know about Mandami, but I do not live in New York. So for that and other reasons, I will only be tuning into what is going on there once in a while. I have not looked at news from NY since his inauguration so I can't answer your questions about what he is doing. ( I can't follow everything ! LOL ) No question that he is now a major figure on on the American Democratic Socialist Left and he deserves to be followed. I love his references to Fiorello Laguardia, about whom I informed myself a bit. Nice to see a fellow Italian do some good as mayor there in the 1930s , unlike those Italians in Italy who were brutal fascists.
I saw most of Mandami's inauguration, and it was neat to see Sanders swearing him in. I did not know Sanders could do something like that!
And I totally agree with you about the general alienated empty vibe of "Taxi Driver". I have only visited NY 3 times and that was enough for me. It was just like in "Taxi Driver". I would never live there. Then again, I wish I did not have to live in any big city, but circumstances force me now to live in one these days . I despise all big cities.
My question is why is organ harvesting such a thriving business? Israel harvests organs from Palestinian prisoners. UK harvest organs from sexually used up trafficked children. How many people need transplants and can afford the procedures?
“America’s Biggest Adversary!!!” Why not start and end with looking at ‘our’ complicity in crimes again the human family, against all life and mother earth committed by ‘us’, and by ‘our designated greatest ‘allies’ & ‘adversaries’’, right now, every hour of the day?
Maybe the biggest part of the problem is creating Big Adversaries to deflect ‘our’ complicity!
And who btw are the main beneficiaries? & Who Profits?

I was horrified by what I read. Really stunned .The people running China are sadistic and inhuman, Red Fascists ,one author (named Wilhelm Reich) called the Communists. And the people doing this organ harvesting specifically are as bad as the Nazi doctors.
