In 1989 my daughter’s pediatrician tried to convince me to vaccinate. He said, “The DPT vaccine” is the only one I agree presents risks. Japan has a much safer version but the US won’t use it because we don’t own the patent.” I just stared at him thinking… and you believe the same decision makers are concerned about the safety of ALL the OTHER vaccines?

No thanks.

I understand. Life is interesting that way. With all the effort I put into raising my children green and organic , one event flipped our world upside down. My older daughter had a trauma and the school insisted she was ADD- I had no support in fighting this . She agreed she was, but it was PTSD. It happened simultaneously as her father “came out,” and they put her on drugs. All details aside, this turned into a 13 year nightmare against doctors, hospitals and rehabs and ultimately she died at 28. You cannot even imagine the ongoing battles, but I lost the war in the end.

My neighbor's two children were put on Ritalin -- one grew up to be an alcoholic and the other one is a meth-head. They learned substance abuse at an early age thanks to Big Pharma. Her third child, the "control group," didn't take Ritalin and turned out fine.

It’s heartbreaking. Big pharma capture. I feel great compassion for those children.

Some things mark our path and I remember a conversation with a 7 year old boy who made a choice that had consequences he didn’t like. Rather than be held accountable for his behavior he said, “I forgot to take my medicine today and that’s why!!” He probably believed that and that was the saddest part of all.

When I was raising my kids, I was the parent saying, “Don’t you think there’s something wrong here? 6-7-8 out of 10 of these children can’t all have a DISORDER!?” I would get the polite eye rolls… the doctor said…

My deepest sympathies for your loss of your daughter, llaw555. Her ongoing battle is done. The War continues unabated. Your courage and hers continue to inspire us. For the sake of all generations to come, we challenge to the end such assaults against body autonomy, freedom and growth of human beings by sociopaths in this decaying system of perverse incentives.

Annie— I often tell myself, all of us are on the learning curve in life. I mean, I often tell myself, I don't think anyone gets out of here without some serious regrets. That said, in recent years as I've been learning the extent of the lies we've been told about vaccines (and I don't just mean the covid "vaccines")— what can I say, it's a lot to process.

llaw555's avatar

Absolutely. We are ALL students . I have friends who beat themselves up because they feel they should have recognized this game earlier on. I tell them, no. Pat yourself on the back because you’re flexible and curious enough to learn , to observe and continue to evolve in your thinking! They ask me, how did you know early on? Well, I never had a reason to trust authority and little tolerance for being told what to do. I was also super protective of my children. That put me in the position of questioning everything and the more I questioned the more questions I had and that continues.

About knowing early on. I didn't know in 2020 what I know now, however, I knew that the lockdowns made no sense and I could see that the legacy media journalists were not asking even the most basic questions. To me those were two giant red flags that something was very "off" about this story.

llaw555—Your friends are fortunate that they at least recognized something is wrong, however late in the game. Many people still haven't figured it out. I say to myself, beating oneself up about past mistakes wastes time and energy better directed towards the battle for one's own health as well as the larger battle for medical freedom / against tyranny. I say to myself, to take in new information means that I am willing to learn from mistakes, but I don't need to dwell on mistakes, I take the lessons and move on— "be here now."

I am one who suffered the ill effetcs of the DPT shot as a child of the 60s. I eneded up with a condition that is/was similar to eppipsey. I was luck and outgrew it in my early teens but I was a heavely medicated child and don't recall most of my younger years due to the medicaitons I was on to stablize my condition.

I want to thank all of you for your comments. The discussion here has been excellent, and the points raised - even those that disagree with me - are well reasoned.

There are the products - some may be good; some may not be - but there is also the effect of the influence of the advertisement dollars. This is speech that comes with dollars and influence attached. Free speech does not come with those attachments.

Yes, big pharma ads MUST GO.

They’re everywhere and for one thing, continue pushing ADD / ADHD drugs !! A self diagnosis test is offered. That in itself should inform you how subjective and unscientific the diagnosis is!

That diagnosis takes away the ability to acquire one of the most fundamental skills of self discipline -FOCUS. A person is made to think there’s something wrong with them and that they have no self control to change it. Amphetamines lead to sleep disorders. Anxiety disorders. Gut disorders. More and more drugs. The dosage increases as your body becomes accustom to it. It destroys your body and brain. It is a trap.

Schools push the diagnosis because kids don’t fit into their little box. There are much better, smarter ways to spiritual development and focus IS part of spiritual development. Big pharma is toxic to the body and never the answer.

As someone who had great difficulty with focus , I can speak to this . It’s doable.

The only people watching and believing the BS from msm media are the covidians and white coat followers who are not going to change their minds or beliefs. The pharma ads should be removed so the rest of us don't have to see stupid actors dancing and other crap. Also it will eliminate a large amount of revenue for these stations. Pull pharma ads now!

How about requiring pharma to both explain the liability shield and read and explain full package inserts on TV, especially Sec. 5 "Warnings and Precautions," Sec. 6 which includes Adverse Events and anywhere it lists Contraindications and "has not been studied".

Under the Supreme Court’s commercial speech doctrine, direct-to-consumer (“DTC”) pharmaceutical ads are protected by the First Amendment. The leading case, Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. v. Public Service Commission (1980), requires that:

1. The speech concerns lawful activity and is not misleading.

2. The government has a substantial interest.

3. The regulation directly advances that interest.

4. The regulation is narrowly tailored (not more extensive than necessary).

An outright ban on all DTC ads for approved drugs likely fails prongs 3 and 4 — it’s overly broad when less‑restrictive options (like disclosures or limited bans) exist. Courts also view medicine differently from tobacco: drugs are lawful, socially valuable, and physician‑mediated. That makes a sweeping prohibition unlikely to survive constitutional review.

That being said, there are other ways to achieve a chilling effect that the FDA *CAN* do. I wrote a list of them that would most likely survive judicial review and shared them just recently with Secretary Kennedy directly (through a friend/colleague). Fingers crossed that he enacts at least one of them (most are not mutually exclusive.)

In 2009, I suggested this to the EPA when I gave seminar / class on pharmaceuticals in water and wastewater. We have banned cigarette and hard alcohol ads. Banning pharmaceutical ads is long over due. Let professional health givers make recommendations not advertisemenrs.

Well written as always.

Side effects are PRIMARY EFFECTS. Let’s replace pharmaceutical ads with public service announcements about how the body heals, how food is medicine, and how healing is an inside job (except for those rare cases where allopathic medicine is necessary).

No drug advertising here in UK, unless it is an 'over-the-counter drug. It makes no difference. The mainstream media does it for them. The pharmaceutical industry produce a news release about a new 'wonder drug' that is 'safe and effective' and will 'save millions of lives'. You listen to BBC, and read the Guardian, or any other paper, and each is the same - its the press release rehashed. The media don't question, don't investigate; they don't mention adverse reactions; they are so pleased for all those people who aren't going to suffer from disease, or die.

The ban on advertising even saves the drug company advertising cost; but of course they do have to support these media outlets to ensure their obedience!

"Bring back the news" Yes Louis, we really need this. Banning direct to consumer advertising can slow down these pharmaceutical corporations control over the media corporations.

But the crossover of stockholders from both industries through the real control by financial investment corporations will not change the positions or views of these powerful overlords. The real evil in the world is generational power that needs to control everything or their house of cards will fall. Propaganda dancing commercials leading to "ask your doctor" is the small potato of mind control and buying off the media is the hand feeding it's partner self. Great start, and I'm all for it. But....does Anyone have some new ideas to really change and repair this system?
