A relative of mine was recently in the hospital and the food 'choices' were horrible. I ended up cooking my relative's meals and taking the meals in each day until he was able to leave there. Glad to read that hospital food choices are also being improved.
In Texas AG Paxton recently cracked down on Grocery stores spraying organic produce with chemicals to prolong freshness. Will HHS do something about this fraud nationwide?
Any pesticides (or any synthetic for anything) allowed in organic have to pass 7 statuary hurdles as put girth in OFPA that make sure the material is environmentally friendly, that the labor used in making it is not faced with toxic materials, etc. Even though there may be pesticides, they are rather friendly by a long shot compared to conventional petroleum-chemical derived pesticides.
I can't decipher the first part of your comment. Some permissible (for organic labeling) pesticides are "friendlier" than the typical non-listed pesticides. But many aren't, practically speaking, because large commercial operations often use them in larger quantities (pounds per acre) - because they haven't been as exhaustively evaluated for human toxicity, persistence in soil and water, etc.

Having been immersed heart, mind and body in organic dairy since 1988, I guess I've been MAHA for a very long time and haven't understood yet why they haven't embraced each other openly previously. We were discussing organic food one day and she confided to me that the food may be grown and cared for organically...but once it arrived at the processing plant, they sprayed it down right from the truck before entering. She asked me to never say anything because it would mean her job.

In addition because the EUA is still in force the manufacture did not have to test the product for adverse effects, nor did they have to follow any approvals normally required for FDA approval.
