Covid was the biggest, most widespread fraud/scam/conspiracy in human history. All of "the authorities" were in on it: governments and government agencies, elected and appointed government officials, the media, academia, and most sadly of all, virtually the entire medical profession. Those who refused to go along with the scheme were threatened and coerced into it; the remaining few who still refused were fired from their jobs, blacklisted, decredentialed, deplatformed, and shunned from polite society, their careers and their lives destroyed. During the scam, virtually everything we were told about Covid and everything having to do with Covid (including and especially about the nonvaccine "vaccines"), was a lie - an intentional lie. And they are all still denying the truth and the facts.
The New York Times, arguably once the finest newspaper on earth (and no, I'm not forgetting the coverups of the Ukrainian starvation in the 1930s or the effective refusal to even mention the Holocaust until well after the war), has long been nothing more than a Leftist propaganda rag. It is truly sad to see smart, highly educated people reading The New York Times seven days per week and thinking they are actually reading "the news."
I think the best point in defense you can make is that Fauci never sued RFK for printing the most outrageous attacks - literally accused of murder and crickets ! That is all the defense you need.

One cannot imagine such lack of critical thinking and total belief in the mainstream narrative but it's a "thing". I witness it every day all around me in ordinary people. One tries to introduce a different perspective and immediately the body language changes.
