Misconstruers gotta misconstrue. I know you'll keep up the great work, Secretary Kennedy, and I am grateful.

One can state that cigarettes are unhealthy while still affording people the liberty to smoke. Ditto for Starbucks, which seems to cost astronomical bucks for a slow death (just like cigarettes!).

True enough. Free choice. Lots of sirens, many one way tickets.

MAHA PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MOVE NEXT TO BAN ALL PHARMACEUTICALS TV ADS.

Greetings from the Thumb Coast of Michigan! Another Sarah joins the call: Please remove next to ban all pharmaceutical TV ads! If the government was able to ban cigarette commercials from television, why not pharmaceuticals? Slainte!

Sarah Creich's avatar

Mainstream ideology always gets a loud voice, not always a good thing. Once we understand that petroleum derivatives are in nearly every substance we ingest, breathe and utilize on a daily basis we can better understand (including the mass produced tobacco products). Big pharma knew that the backing of the medical community would be their best financial ally. Far more profit to be made from peddling pills for which physicians hold all access (prescriptions). Organic tobacco was hijacked during my grandfather's generation and chemicals were added to increase addiction. Big pharma has done quite well by agreeing to stop cigarette ads and then sailed along quite nicely with huge profits by pill peddling in our homes. Today many physicians report that their patients come in asking for xzy drug that they saw on tv.

You bet! We are one of a handful of countries that allow pharmaceutical companies to run ads on T.V. That would be monumental and welcomed.

Marilyn's avatar

Well actually, those ads are kind of good, as long as they are REQUIRED to inform us about all the potential side effects!!! You sure won’t hear about those from the doctor writing you prescription! You only find out after you get the meds and if you read the information that comes with it. I particularly like the ad for toe nail fungus oral medication, that has the potential of causing cancer. Hmmmm…which would I rather have???

I don't have a TV, but I was in a place for 4 months in the fall of 2024 that did. I was watching a lot of TV being sequestered there for reasons I will not get into. I was appalled by how many ads from Pharma appeared . What bothered me the most was that they actually showed fine print that was so small that you could not read it, and even if you could, there was no time to read it. So what was the point? Were they forced to show the small print that seemed to convey info about possible side effets ( I think) , and did, but you could not even read it ! What were the regulators thinking ?!

Sarah Creich's avatar

You got it, by flashing the fine print they are removed from legal liability. Good ole litigious USA. Therein lies the rub...regulators are not paid to think, they are paid to be puppets. Effectively bribed in one manner or another by partisan politics du juor.

Marc's avatar

And , of course, everyone is nice and happy in those ads. One day, we will force these Pharma executives to look square in the face at the havoc they cause ... from the vantage point of the prisons these executives will be living in for a very long time.

For a new book about new atrocities revealed about Pharma, see the book about Johnson and Johnson called "No more Tears".

It is easy to take information out of context when you hate someone. :(

Dunkin/Baskin Robbins is owned by Bain Capital & Carlyle Group with the highest density of Monsanto GMO ingredients & rBGH dairy hormone per bit of any product on the market.. Starfucks is a close second & don't even offer organic coffee.. both are toxic corporate profiteers.. nothing Bobby could say about the poison sold as food could come close enough to truth. https://web.archive.org/web/20210126222925/https://www.carlyle.com/media-room/news-release-archive/bain-capital-partners-carlyle-group-and-thomas-h-lee-partners-agree

Like the insight but don't need the slang.

PamelaDrew's avatar

Personal problem it took three decades of activism before I got to slur mode.

Lori's avatar

Like slur mode. Don't change.

Lori's avatar

Slang is good. Don't diss the slang.

BOOM! And I am stealing your Starfucks!

Of course those who refuse to see that what they love to consume is trash, are throwing a fit over what Kennedy says.

Please Big Pharma just produce an equally toxic pill so that I don’t suffer the consequences of my crappy diet. It’s an individuals responsibility to safe guard their health and yet most refuse to.

Susan Baker's avatar

This kind of informed consent makes my head hurt! I’m not pregnant but if I were, I would take 2 otc pain relievers. 🫠

I am pleased to hear Kennedy challenging these manufacturers of poison. Sugar kills…cancer loves sugar.

Monique's avatar

They are ruthless towards him. ):

H. Elsenpeter's avatar

Before Kennedy it was like the blind leading the blind. Now if people don't like the the truth they can stay blind, overweight and unhealthy.

Lori's avatar

And I so hope Maura Healey stays in that category!

Marilyn's avatar

THANK YOU! RFK JR for everything you are doing!! I am so glad you decided to join with President Trump to bring sanity back and help make things great again! You are doing a great job!!

There are only about 4 grams of sugar circulating in your bloodstream at any given time. When you consume 120+ grams of sugar, your body has to move that excess glucose out of the blood quickly and store it somewhere, usually as fat. This up and down blood sugar roller coaster is often anxiety provoking (cortisol) and messes with natural satiety. Repeated spikes can also lead to glycation, where sugar sticks to proteins in the body and damages tissues over time, contributing to problems like fatty liver, insulin resistance, and eventually type 2 diabetes.

I haven't had a Dunkin ( or any other donut) since I was a kid and refuse to even go into Starbucks. Technically I've

" banned" both. 👍

Responsibility used to be non partisan, but nothing is anymore. The main disease coloring the discussion is TDS, and the adjacent disease of KDS. A darn shame.

Lori's avatar

TDS needs to be accepted as a true mental disorder and entered into medical books.

Jean's avatar

Maybe look at the Fat people they are the best customers! Hmm, wonder if there is any correlation??? Keep up the great work Mr Kennedy.

Yes, sugar is highly addictive and inflammatory. Generations of people in the US are not getting the message. Other countries do not ply their people with copious amounts of sugar like US Industries do. Clean ingredients in healthy products. It's only right!

SOCIAL MEDIA NOW IS FULL OF ANGEY PEOPLE REACTING TO MISINFORMATION CONSISTING IN PART OF MEDIA MISQUOTES. I SUGGEST THIS IS PART OF A STRATEGY USEFUL AGAINST AMERICANS - MAKE THEM ANGRY AND POINT THEM AT EACH OTHER.
