It seems that alot of Orwell's 1984 novel is coming to pass, inch by miserable inch. I read the novel in 2016 , for the first time in 50 years, and I don't know why I would choose to buy that book as I rarely purchase and read books, least of all that dark novel. But something compelled me to do that. As I read it, I kept thinking: 'Surely this couldn't happen, it's just a dystopic figment of Orwell's mind and imagination.' It was a sobering experience and I could only get through about half the book, as it was so outlandish in it's concepts. And depressing as hell.
Then 2020 came. And big brother. And Bill Gates. Now this.
THANKS for outing NPR, esp. for that crowd of the prior Americana tale-telling Keillor who was accused of not being so prairie bound-- for having been mean & inappropriate (touchy-feely or mere 'sexualizing innuendos'?) with women staffers (unless one takes the murderous Mormons of the white-washed country temples). That crowd needs to wake up, shake of NPR's 'down-homey' we for the People jargon (read, propaganda), and just get it already that, this tax-payer funded platform is mostly now funded by corPIRATE interests (little e.g. BIG PHARMA*); it is now a schill for that-- a shell of its former high calling for the real people, REALLY!

About the time when the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation became a major donor. I don’t think public radio/TV should get one cent from we taxpayers. They can survive - or not - all on their own, as far as I’m concerned. I now trult despise them.
