One thing I’ve never understood is why drug companies offer reduced pricing to the young and insured but not to Medicare recipients. From a business standpoint I can believe it’s to cause brand loyalty, but those scripts come from physicians which is what makes the pharmaceutical reps so valuable with their bonus perks. So it has to be a little more sinister than that - the deep pockets of the government and a customer who has already become dependent. Prescription meds should cost the same for every person, discounts available to all, not just some. Better yet, no discounts just lower pricing for everyone.

Federal law prohibits discounting drugs to Medicare recipients.

Perhaps we should ask why our lawmakers believe that our SS funds should subsidize the young and healthy. When they became adults they should have been dumped from our payroll. Instead it would appear that the legislators believe we should fund them til we die. If the legislators had to have the same medical coverage that we have I’m sure we’d see drastic changes to this “law”. Again, Big Pharma wins by paying off the legislative reps because tax dollars are paying them big $$$$.

Believe it when we see it…and not just rare expensive drugs and insulin, but ALL DRUGS ACROSS THE BOARD.

I wonder if estrogen or hormone replacement will be medically needed medication

I heard billionaire Mark Cuban talking, over a year ago, about creating a discounted drug platform that would bring the price of drugs down dramatically. Is Trump doing something similar? Cuban had found a way to pay pennies for prescription drugs and only adding a very small additional amount, basically the essential costs to provide this service (without profit).

So this will be lower than what one can get through insurance? I expect it will beat Goodrx. They provide generic drugs that cost less than my insurance copay. One can hope.

I don’t know, but you might want to check it out. It is very new so I’m not even certain if all the ‘bugs’ have been worked out. Best

I'm running out to pick up my newest big, heavy cumbersome Epi pens today. They expire every couple months whether I need to use them or not. I am always repurchasing them in case I have an anaphylactic episode. I have paid anywhere from $79 up to 750 and today I will be paying over $300. All just in case my throat closes up in allergy to someone else's strong perfume, cleaning products, or a food or Rx I may ingest. Thanks to this administration, we all have a better chance of existing financially. If we stop sending $40 million a week to the Taliban, maybe we can tackle the "insurance" crisis.
