In the 1940s the average age for an American girl at her first period was 15-16. When I ask other teachers about this theyre more likely to shrink away from the conversation. I speak to students and tell them what is happening to their beef. You cannot purchase a copy of the show only transcript but I remember that show. They cut out the cancerous tumor from the cow then put it's carcass into the huge bin to be grinded up. The tumor may have been removed but the cancer is still inside the cow throughout their entire body. This isn't legal but that doesn't matter.
