Hundreds of Beagles Saved From Cruel Experiments

HHS announced that Ridglan Farms, a Wisconsin dog-breeding facility that previously supplied animals for experimental research, will transfer its remaining 475 beagles to a large, cage-free, no-kill dog rescue. Most of the dogs have already been transferred out of the facility and will soon be available for adoption.. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins emphasized their agencies’ commitment to humane animal care and to replacing animal testing with effective alternatives wherever possible.

Kennedy Launches $96 Million Grant Program Targeting Addiction

HHS launched a $96 million grant program called STREETS (Safety Through Recovery, Engagement and Evidence-based Treatment and Support) to help cities, counties, and tribal organizations address substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness through treatment, recovery programming, housing support, and street outreach.

Eight applicants, or fewer, will receive up to $3 million annually for four years, with “harm reduction” services like safe injection sites explicitly barred. The initiative follows President Trump’s executive order targeting root causes of crime and disorder on America’s streets. This $96 million is separate from the $612 million HHS has committed in behavioral health funding.

Nestlé Goes MAHA

Nestlé USA announced this week that it has followed through on its promise from last year: the company will remove all petroleum-based dyes from its food and beverages, replacing them with natural dyes. This includes its recipe for Nesquick strawberry milk and all of the Nestle Vitality drinks, which are now being made using dyes from natural sources like fruit.

HHS Secretary Kennedy took to X to thank Nestle, writing: “Thank you, @Nestle, for eliminating synthetic dyes from your products. Nestlé stepped up and delivered. Now it’s time for every food company operating in America to do the same and help Make America Healthy Again.”

Medical Schools Sign Pledge to Teach Nutrition

Nineteen more American medical schools signed on to President Trump’s Nutrition Education Pledge this week, promising to include 40 hours of nutrition education in graduation requirements for all medical school students starting this fall.

Among the new participants are Florida Atlantic University, the University of Massachusetts, the University of Maryland, Hofstra University, Temple University, the University of Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, St. Louis University, and several osteopathic medical schools.

“Poor diets are the primary driver of America’s chronic disease epidemic, and today’s announcement reflects the shifting landscape toward placing nutrition and prevention at the core of patient health,” Secretary Kennedy said at a press conference on Monday. He was joined by several medical organizations, including the National Board of Medical Examiners, which also signed on to making nutrition a bigger priority in medical education.

HHS Invites Americans to Share Stories of Addiction

HHS Secretary Kennedy, along with Great American Recovery co-chair Kathryn Burgum, called on Americans this week to share their experiences with addiction by emailing HHS at reportsclearanceofficer@ahrq.hhs.gov with the subject line “Great American Recovery.”

“Tell us what’s working, what’s failing, and how the federal government can better support treatment, recovery, and healing,” he said in a video message posted to social media.

Kennedy said the agency would like to hear from people in recovery, but also from families, from treatment providers and community leaders, and that the information will be used to “help shape a stronger national recovery strategy.”

The focus on addressing addiction (and homelessness) in America is part of President Trump’s Great American Recovery, launched as an executive order in January. In addition to the request for information about addiction, Kennedy also announced this week that $40 million in grants through eight different programs will be awarded to programs aimed at preventing addiction and addressing childhood trauma, suicide and mental illness.

Tulsi Gabbard Releases Information on Secret Biolabs

Outgoing Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, released information on 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine and countries conducting dangerous gain of function research.

Gabbard said, “In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what ‘research’ is being conducted.” Gabbard is due to step down as DNI on June 30.

MAHA Sunscreen Ready for Summer

The FDA added bemotrizinol (also known as BEMT) to the list of permitted over-the-counter active ingredients in sunscreen. This broad-spectrum chemical filter, already used safely for decades in Europe and Asia, provides strong protection against both UVA and UVB rays, with low skin absorption, high photostability (does not break down easily in sunlight) and minimal skin irritation.

The addition expands access to more effective sun protection that better prevents skin cancer, premature aging, and skin damage caused by UV rays.

A Plan to Protect Seniors Against Scammers

HHS, via the Elder Justice Coordinating Council, has unveiled a comprehensive government-wide Federal Elder Justice Action Plan involving 17 federal departments and agencies. The plan aims to protect older Americans from pervasive scams and improve their access to support services.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensure seniors can age with dignity, independence, and security, highlighting that scammers steal an estimated $28 billion annually from older adults. The plan is paired with the “Never EVER” campaign, which warns that no legitimate government agency will ever ask someone to move their money for “protection.”

A New Label For 100% U.S. Cotton

The USDA released the image of a tag that will soon be affixed to clothes and bedding made entirely of American cotton.

Under the Great American Cotton Plan, the USDA has incentivized onshoring cotton growing and textile manufacturing. The majority of clothing now sold in the United States is made with synthetic materials like polyester, nylon and acrylic, produced using petro-chemicals. See our article, here.

MAHA-Backed Candidate Wins Big in Iowa

In a nail-biter in the Iowa Republican primary, farmer and businessman Zach Lahn won by a narrow margin, defeating party favorite and early frontrunner, Randy Feenstra. Lahn, whom the MAHA PAC backed, ran on a platform of rebuilding trust in public health, eliminating chronic disease, protecting Iowa families from environmental toxins, restoring transparency to food and agriculture, and ending the influence of pharmaceutical companies and corporate lobbyists in state government.

“MAHA PAC congratulates Zach Lahn, the likely future MAHA governor of Iowa,” said Tony Lyons, co-president of MAHA PAC. “Thanks to the courage and leadership of President Trump and Secretary Kennedy, the MAHA movement is alive and incredibly strong.”

MAHA Center Launches Chiropractic Hub

President Trump Signs Executive Order on Vaccines

On May 29, President Trump signed an executive order entitled “Realigning United States Core Childhood Vaccine Recommendations with Best Practices from Peer, Developed Countries.” The order directs the CDC and its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to align the childhood vaccine schedule with that of peer nations, as outlined in the scientific assessment from January that was led by Tracy Beth Hoeg, then head of drug evaluation for the FDA. It also declares that this scientific assessment, with its proposed updates to the CDC’s vaccine schedule, “is acknowledged as a guiding resource of the Federal Government” and directs the HHS Secretary to communicate this change to all states to “inform their considerations of State vaccination laws.”

Top Doctors Testify that Covid-19 Vaccine Can Cause Cancer

During a recent Senate hearing chaired by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), top doctors including oncologist Angus Dalgleish, Brown University cancer center director Wafik El-Deiry, and cardiologist Aseem Malhotra testified that mRNA Covid-19 vaccines likely cause or accelerate cancer.

They cited patient relapses after boosters, immune suppression (e.g., T-cell exhaustion and IgG class switching), spike protein interference with tumor suppressor p53, DNA insertion mechanisms, warning of rising cancer rates, more aggressive cancers and relapses of cancers and called for a ban on the use of mRNA technology in future vaccines.

EPA Rolls Back Animal Testing

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced a plan to phase out animal testing. “For the first time in five years, EPA is updating its list of cutting-edge alternative test methods to replace the use of animal studies, also known as New Approach Methods (NAMs),” the agency said in a statement this week.

Texas Goes After Glyphosate

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) to pesticide and food manufacturers, including Bayer and PepsiCo, as part of efforts to examine health risks from glyphosate residues—particularly in oat-based cereals, snacks, and other products marketed to children, where the herbicide is often used as a desiccant shortly before harvest.

The probe aims to determine if companies have misled consumers about product safety and compliance.

Steak ’n Shake Puts MAHA Beef on the Menu

Steak ’n Shake, the nation’s only restaurant chain with a full-time Chief MAHA Officer, announced that at all of its restaurants nationwide, its steakburgers will feature 100% grass fed and grass finished beef.

DOJ Cracks Down on Suspected NIH Bio-Criminals

Two NIH researchers at a high-security BSL-4 (Biosafety Level 4) lab in Montana, the Rocky Mountain Laboratories, which is part of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), were charged with conspiring to smuggle monkeypox virus into the U.S. and making false statements to federal agents. The suspects were identified as Dutch national Vincent Munster, Chief of the NIH Virus Ecology Section, and Cameroonian national Claude Kwe, a research fellow in the same section. The men were seen carrying a large black case containing vials of the monkeypox virus after a visit to Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo.

The suspects told Customs and Border Protection officers the case contained only diagnostic equipment, but it held 113 vials in coolers. Testing confirmed 17 vials contained deactivated monkeypox virus, one had chickenpox virus, and two had human DNA. The men, who study emerging viral pathogens, face up to five years in prison. Both scientists were first brought into NIAID during Anthony Fauci’s tenure.

Vermont Bans Dangerous Herbicide Linked to Parkinson’s

Vermont became the first state to ban paraquat, an herbicide linked to Parkinson’s disease. Republican Governor Phil Scott signed the bipartisan bill, which phases out the sale and use of paraquat beginning on November 1, with limited exemptions for certain crops. A full ban will take effect in 2030.

USDA Unveils Great Cotton Plan

The Great American Cotton Plan, announced by USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins, aims to prioritize American-grown cotton over synthetic, plastic-based fibers. It promotes natural fibers through the theme “Plant, not plastic” and the slogan “Real Americans/Cowboys/Farmers wear cotton,” emphasizing cotton’s role in supporting U.S. farmers, jobs, rural economies, and manufacturing.

The seven-point plan includes promoting domestic natural fibers, expanding cotton manufacturing and textile production, increasing export opportunities, strengthening support for mills and processors, protecting growers from market volatility, modernizing facilities, and ensuring long-term profitability for farmers. Overall, it seeks to rebuild the industry, boost American agriculture, and reduce reliance on imports.

Secretary Kennedy commented on the initiative, “Yes: plant, not plastic. Proud to support USDA, Secretary Rollins, and the Great American Cotton Plan. American-grown cotton supports our farmers, strengthens rural communities, fuels U.S. manufacturing, and gives families a natural alternative to synthetic, plastic-based materials. This plan helps Make America Healthy Again.”

HHS Secretary Kennedy Unveils New Lyme Disease Plan

On Friday in New Hampshire, Secretary Kennedy announced new actions to tackle Lyme disease and other diseases transmitted to humans by ticks.

He expressed sympathy for those suffering from the “invisible illness,” declaring an end to the era of “gaslighting” patients. HHS pledged to reduce Lyme disease spread by 25% by 2035 compared to 2022 levels through stronger patient support, standardized treatment protocols, improved diagnostics, and advanced therapies.

HHS will host roundtables with frontline physicians, launch nationwide education initiatives to help doctors diagnose the disease earlier, and has introduced a dedicated website at hhs.gov/lyme. This site connects patients with specialists via the ILADS clinician locator tool and provides educational resources.

The centerpiece of the initiative is a multi-million-dollar CDC-led pilot program, developed in partnership with the New England Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases, the Indian Health Service, and the Wampanoag Tribe, aimed at eliminating ticks on wildlife to disrupt disease transmission at its source. HHS will also address Alpha-gal syndrome with similar urgency.

Fraud Busters: Vance Thanks Kennedy and Oz at Cabinet Meeting

At this week’s Cabinet meeting, Vice President Vance thanked HHS Secretary Kennedy and CMS Administrator Dr. Oz for their collaboration with his Anti-Fraud Task Force, which has been cracking down on waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid and Medicare. As reported by The MAHA Report, on May 21 Kennedy and Oz oversaw the arrest of 15 suspects accused of stealing $90 million from Medicaid.

Laura Delano Says Secretary Kennedy Is Already Winning his Fight Against Overmedicalization

Laura Delano, whose 2023 memoir Unshrunk helped spark a debate about the long-term use of psychiatric drugs, endorsed Secretary Kennedy’s push to reduce the overmedicalization of Americans struggling with mental health issues. People who have talked about the harms of psychiatric drugs and the challenges of withdrawal have long been dismissed or slandered, she said. Delano, who with her husband founded Inner Compass Initiative, noted a significant shift away from psychiatric medicalization. Case in point, she said: the recent annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association, which included multiple panels on deprescribing, overmedication, and withdrawal, along with psychiatrists openly expressing regret for not helping patients taper off these drugs sooner.

Secretary Kennedy Takes Deep Dive on Microplastics

In the latest episode of the Secretary Kennedy podcast, Dr. Leo Trasande discussed the widespread dangers of microplastics and the proliferation of PFAS (aka forever chemicals) in the environment and human tissue. There are 16,000 chemicals in plastic he said, 10,000 of which scientists know very little about. Exposures to some of these 6,000 chemicals can cause hormone imbalance, infertility and premature births.

Julia Letlow defeats Cassidy in Louisiana primary

Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy lost his primary, coming in third place behind John Fleming and first place winner, Julia Letlow – the MAHA Pac-backed candidate. The top two candidates advance to a June runoff, while Cassidy, chair of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, will exit the Senate on January 3, 2027.

Iowa Governor signs landmark MAHA bill

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed the MAHA Act (HF 2676) into law in a ceremony attended by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The bill passed the Iowa House 61–31 and Iowa’s Senate 30–16 prior to arriving on the Governor’s desk.

In an effort aimed at improving the mental and physical wellbeing of children, the new law restricts digital instruction for K–5 students to 60 minutes per day, with exceptions for those with special needs. The bill also mandates daily physical activity (at least 40 minutes for K–4 students); requires nutrition education highlighting animal-based proteins, dairy, vegetables, and fruits; reinstates key elements of the Presidential Physical Fitness Test; and calls for studying technology use in higher grades.

The legislation also bans specific artificial dyes and additives in school meals and vending machines, including Red 40, Yellow 5 and 6, Blue 1 and 2, Green 3, potassium bromate, and propylparaben. Further, it directs the state to continuously pursue federal waivers for programs such as SNAP, Summer EBT, and school lunches. These waivers aim to restrict unhealthy foods and update nutritional standards related to sodium, whole grains, and other criteria.

In healthcare and related areas, the MAHA Act requires at least 40 hours of nutrition and metabolic health coursework for Iowa medical school graduates, effective 2028. It also mandates one hour of relevant continuing education every four years for physicians in applicable fields.

Additional provisions allow Ivermectin to be sold over the counter in Iowa.

HHS and Surgeon General urge families to limit children’s screen time

The Office of the U.S. Surgeon General has released an advisory and toolkit that outlines problems caused by excessive screen time among children and offers solutions. Screens provide some benefits, but addictive design features such as infinite scroll, algorithms, autoplay, and rewards often drive compulsive use. This leads to addictive behaviors. Screen time often starts before age one and increases sharply. Toddlers average about two hours per day, while teens exceed four hours. This can surpass time spent sleeping or in school.

The advisory defines ‘harmful use’ as patterns that interfere with development, sleep, relationships, or responsibilities. It covers not only social media but also gaming, gambling-like mechanics, AI chatbots, and other digital activities. The report stresses the precautionary principle: action is needed even as research continues to evolve. Evidence links harmful screen use to negative effects on cognitive and emotional development, physical health, education, and mental health. Early exposure is tied to weaker language, attention, and social-emotional skills. School-aged children face higher risks of obesity, myopia (with projections of 40 percent affected by 2050), sleep problems, and less physical activity. In teens, heavy use—especially social media—is associated with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image issues, cyberbullying (affecting nearly half of adolescents), aggression, substance use, and sextortion (experienced by 3.5 to 5 percent of minors). These harms occur through displacement of real-world interactions, blue light exposure, sedentary behavior, and contact with harmful content.

Kennedy calls on Congress to pass the Railway Safety Act

Following Kennedy’s call to action, in a 54-11 vote, the The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee added the Railway Safety Act amendment to the BUILD America 250 Act. Texas Representative Troy E. Nehls called this a major victory.

Key provisions include: mandating wayside defect detectors (such as hotbox detectors) at an average of every 15 miles, with requirements for trains to stop when issues are detected; expanding “high-hazard train” rules to cover more substances with added speed limits, improved braking, route risk analysis, and real-time notifications to states; requiring minimum inspection times for rail cars, phasing out older tank cars; and setting two-person crew minimums for most freight trains.

The bill also addresses long-train safety reviews, blocked crossings, higher civil penalties for violations, enhanced emergency response funding and training (including PPE and post-incident reimbursement for first responders), and stronger hazardous materials emergency planning. The bill aims to prevent derailments like the 2023 catastrophe in East Palestine, Ohio, while improving oversight and community preparedness.

“East Palestine reminded the country that a single derailment can devastate an entire community’s health, environment, and future,” Secretary Kennedy wrote on X a day before the vote. “I’ve spent decades fighting to protect communities from toxic chemical exposure, and the families in East Palestine deserve lasting accountability and stronger safeguards to prevent this from ever happening again. Our message to Congress is clear: pass the Railway Safety Act.”

Real food for struggling families

HHS and USDA announced a joint initiative to boost Americans’ access to high-quality protein and strengthen nutrition security. HHS is investing $7.5 million in a partnership with HATCH for Hunger to redirect surplus protein (such as meat, eggs, and dairy) to families in need, reduce food waste, improve health outcomes, and combat chronic disease per the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

USDA also plans to award up to $7.5 million in grants to enhance cold chain infrastructure for emergency food assistance, including support for nonprofits and faith-based organizations to safely distribute nutrient-dense proteins.

New reforms for foster children in Congress and in Mississippi

The House of Representatives unanimously passed the Fostering the Future Act championed by First Lady Melania Trump. The Act is a bipartisan legislative package designed to modernize the foster care system and provide better resources for foster children on the brink of adulthood. The Act also increases financial support for education, expands access to housing vouchers, and provides specialized services for expectant or parenting foster youth.

As the bill was passed, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced that her state has joined ACF’s Operation Hope, and that 13 missing foster children have already been located, offered support and brought to safety.

Montana officially joins healthy SNAP revolution

The USDA granted Montana a SNAP waiver, allowing the state to restrict the purchase of junk foods through the SNAP program.

The EPA implements regulatory changes to assist farmers

The EPA announced the restoration of the Right to Repair for farm equipment. This means that companies will be restricted from voiding warranties when farmers repair their equipment themselves or through local repair shops.

The EPA also rolled back Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) requirements by reversing deratements — the automatic engine power reductions that occur when the emissions system detects a DEF fault — and eliminating mandatory DEF sensors. It is also finalizing a new Waters of the United States (WOTUS) definition aligned with the Supreme Court’s Sackett decision. This change aims to end federal overreach on private property waters and remove the need for farmers to hire attorneys or consultants.

President Trump and Secretary Kennedy launched moms.gov, a comprehensive new website offering resources for pregnant women, mothers, and those trying to conceive, including information on IVF, prenatal and postnatal care, nutrition, and baby formula. Kennedy hailed the initiative as a major victory for the MAHA movement and the pro-life cause, describing it as a “one-stop shop” for maternal and family health needs.

Kennedy Jr., CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, and senior administration officials, the president also unveiled a proposed rule to expand access to fertility benefits, including IVF, through employer-sponsored insurance plans.”

CIA Whistleblower Vindicates MAHA on Fauci

CIA whistleblower James Erdman III testified under oath before the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee that Dr. Anthony Fauci deliberately manipulated the intelligence community’s assessment of the origin of Covid-19. He alleged Fauci restricted input to scientists funded by his NIAID, many involved in gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, suppressing the lab-leak theory in favor of a natural zoonotic origin narrative.

The hearing, chaired by Sen. Rand Paul with no Democratic senators present, highlighted how funding compromised scientific judgments and enabled a broader cover-up of U.S.-funded research in China. Senators also connected it to earlier revelations of suppressed vaccine injury data, calling for accountability to prevent future scandals that contributed to millions of deaths and eroded public trust.

Whole Milk Back in Schools

The USDA issued a final rule implementing President Trump’s Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, restoring whole and 2% milk options in the School Lunch Program and the other Child Nutrition Programs, including the School Breakfast Program and the Summer Food Service Program. The change supports better childhood nutrition with nutrient-dense dairy as outlined in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025–2030.

President Trump Slams Vaccine Mandates & Overmedicalization

During an interview on Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson, President Trump offered his view on vaccine mandates and the propensity to over-vaccinate children – part of a wider problem of overmedicalization that Secretary Kennedy has pledged to end.

“I believe in vaccines,” said Trump, “but I don’t believe that, you know, you have to have a mandate for all of them. The polio vaccine’s amazing. It’s, you know, wiped it out. And I believe in vaccines, but you know, I think we’re up to 88 vaccines. And I really feel that if vaccines… they were given in smaller quantities… I would love to see much smaller shots, like four visits to the doctor. And I think you would have a much better result with the autism.”

Improvements on Food Safety Regulations and Reporting

Secretary Kennedy announced a new review process for food safety. “The FDA will, for the first time, continuously review chemicals already in our food—replacing a decades-old system with continuous oversight for the first time,” he said. “We will evaluate the science on an ongoing basis. We’ll identify risks earlier, and we’ll act when necessary to protect the public health. We’ll make our findings public. The American people have a right to see the data, and understand the decisions and hold us accountable.”

Vance and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz announced a nationwide effort to combat fraud in the Medicaid system. “Today, we are sending letters across 50 Medicaid programs that will require them to show that they are effectively and aggressively prosecuting Medicaid fraud in their states – and, if they do not, we are going to turn off the money that goes to these anti-fraud units,” the vice president said.

ACF Launches $7 Million “A Home for Every Child” Innovation Challenge

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) has launched the $7 million A Home for Every Child Innovation Challenge. Beginning in October, the performance-based competition will incentivize state child welfare agencies by awarding prizes for the best foster homes-to-children ratio and the greatest improvement over one year. The initiative underscores ACF’s commitment to reaching a nationwide 1:1 ratio of available foster homes to children in foster care.

Kennedy Announces Historic Reform on Overmedicalization

Speaking at the MAHA Institute’s Mental Health & Overmedicalization Summit in Washington, D.C., Secretary Kennedy announced sweeping reforms to official mental health policy.

To instigate reforms, HHS, CMS, ACF, HRSA, and SAMHSA jointly issued a letter that sets forth new policy guidance on mental health treatments. The letter urges clinicians and provider organizations to adopt an approach centered on shared decision-making, patient autonomy, and fully informed consent. Patients should receive clear, accessible information about psychiatric medications at the start of treatment, throughout its course, and when discontinuation is considered.

This guidance specifies that discussions must cover the medication’s purpose, expected benefits, potential adverse effects, monitoring requirements, discontinuation symptoms, risks of abrupt stopping, chances of relapse, and the existence of evidence-based, non-pharmacological options. It notes that shared decision-making in mental health settings can improve patient outcomes.

At the MAHA Institute event, Kennedy said federal regulators will now prioritize regulations supporting evidence-based alternatives to medication, such as psychotherapy, strengthened social connections, behavioral strategies, sleep care, exercise programs, and dietary improvements.

Trump Admin Cracks Down on Foreign-Owned Meatpackers

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is advancing an an antitrust investigation, originally launched in November 2025, into alleged collusion and price-fixing in the U.S. meatpacking industry.

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins spotlighted the problem: today just four firms process 85 percent of U.S. beef, the majority of which are foreign owned. Rollins connected the consolidation to several harms: market manipulation, elevated consumer prices, damage to independent ranchers, and threats to national food security. Secretary Rollins also pointed to broader risks, including potential corruption, cartel involvement, and labor issues.

The DOJ’s ongoing probe aims to address these anticompetitive practices, safeguard American beef producers, and strengthen the supply chain.

Trump Restores Presidential Fitness Test

President Trump signed the National Physical Fitness and Sports Month Proclamation, stating, in part, “Physical dedication sharpens the mind, steels the will, and produces the kind of character that Americans carry into every aspect of their lives. Citizens who hold themselves to that standard of excellence are capable of meeting any challenge of the world today.”

He also named May the National Physical Fitness month.

Speaking in the Oval Office during a signing ceremony, Secretary Kennedy added, “If we were going to maintain our national authority… we had to pay attention to our physical condition, and the Physical Fitness Test was a critical part of that.”

Drug Prices Continue to Fall

According to a new White House report on President Trump’s Most Favored Nations (MFN) agreements with pharmaceutical companies, the price for new drugs will deliver $529 billion in domestic savings over ten years, across all U.S. markets. These savings will include private insurance by offering lower launch prices while pressuring other nations to pay more fairly.

Secretary Kennedy and CMS Administrator, Dr. Mehmet Oz, each welcomed lower drug prices. “President Trump’s Most Favored Nation drug pricing initiative is delivering historic wins for American patients—lowering costs while preserving innovation and ensuring the U.S. no longer pays more than other wealthy nations,” said Dr. Oz.

Down with Prior Authorization

Secretary Kennedy praised UnitedHealth for delivering on its June 2025 commitment to reduce prior authorization red tape. Participating plans have already cut prior authorization use by 11 percent, avoiding delays for 6.5 million procedures.

A vocal critic of Secretary Kennedy, comedian Jimmy Kimmel was forced to admit that Kennedy’s MAHA campaign for Real Food is beneficial to Americans.

On Kimmel’s show, Mike Tyson explained why he’s all-in for Secretary Kennedy and real food: He said he’s struggled with obesity and so did his sister, who died in 1990 from health consequences related to her obesity.

USDA Mandates Real Food From SNAP Retailers

The USDA issued a ruling that requires SNAP-authorized retailers to stock seven varieties of staple foods across four categories: proteins; grains; dairy; and fruits and vegetables. This more than doubles previous requirements, boosts perishable items, emphasizes whole foods, and closes loopholes allowing snack foods to count toward food staples. The changes aim to improve SNAP recipients’ access to nutritious options while reducing fraud and abuse.

A Farm Bill Victory

The House voted in favor of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL)’s Amendment No. 28 by 280-142. With bipartisan support, this successfully strips sections 10205-10207 from the 2026 Farm Bill, removing a liability shield for companies producing herbicides like glyphosate.

The version of the Farm Bill which passed also includes Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-KY) PRIME Act pilot, which expands exemptions for custom-slaughtered meat to allow intrastate sales of local beef, pork, and lamb to consumers, restaurants, and stores.

Fauci Henchmen Exposed

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), chair of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI), held a hearing entitled, “Unmasked: How Biden Health Officials Purposely Turned a Blind Eye Toward COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Signals.”

The hearing focused on Biden-era FDA officials who allegedly suppressed Covid-19 vaccine safety signals. In early 2021, FDA senior medical officer Dr. Ana Szarfman and statistician Dr. William DuMouchel applied an upgraded data-mining method (RGPS) to VAERS reports. This approach corrected a known “masking” flaw that allowed signals from one vaccine to be drowned out by others.

Their analysis uncovered approximately 25 new statistically significant safety signals previously missed, including sudden cardiac death, heart attacks, pulmonary infarction, blood clots, Bell’s palsy, dementia, and “death/sudden death” across Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J shots. Dr. Szarfman shared these findings multiple times with senior CBER officials, including Dr. Peter Marks. She said she was told to stop producing reports, with officials calling the work a “major distraction” that could fuel “anti-vaccination rhetoric.”

Baby Formula Is Safe

The FDA released results from their largest and most rigorous examination of chemical contaminants in infant formula available on the U.S. market. The study found baby formula free of heavy metals and safe.

“We tested more infant formula than ever before, and the results are clear: most products meet a high safety standard—but even small exposures matter for newborns,” said Secretary Kennedy. “We will hold manufacturers accountable, and give parents honest, transparent data they can trust. Protecting our children’s health is nonnegotiable.”

Ohio Joins ‘Every Child’ Initiative

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine joined ACF’s A Home for Every Child initiative, which aims to ensure homes are waiting for kids by improving the ratio of licensed foster homes to children in care through better recruitment, retention, prevention, and permanency efforts.

According to Governor DeWine, “By joining this initiative, championed by the First Lady of the United States, Ohio is strengthening our commitment to ensure that kids are not waiting on families, but that families are ready and waiting for them.”

Justice Dept. Charges Dr. David Morens for Falsifying Records During Covid

Former NIAID employee David M. Morens was charged with “conspiracy against the United States; destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in federal investigations; concealment, removal, or mutilation of records; and aiding and abetting,” according to a DOJ statement. Morens worked for NIAID between 2006 and 2022.

According to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, “As alleged in the indictment, Dr. Morens and his co-conspirators deliberately concealed information and falsified records in an effort to suppress alternative theories regarding the origins of COVID-19. Government officials have a solemn duty to provide honest, well-grounded facts and advice in service of the public interest — not to advance their own personal or ideological agendas.”

The Power of Protest: ‘People vs. Poison’ Rally Galvanizes Opposition

Hundreds gathered outside of the U.S. Supreme Court to rally against Bayer-Monsanto’s appeal in Monsanto v. Durnell.

The maker of Roundup seeks to strip the American public of their right to a jury trial in state courts following injuries allegedly related to exposure to the toxic chemicals in the notorious weedkiller. Demonstrators encouraged Justices to uphold the principles of states rights, and the Constitutional right to a jury trial following injury by a product that failed to sufficiently warn of possible side-effects.

ALDI USA Goes MAHA

ALDI US, the grocery store chain, is going MAHA. Secretary Kennedy announced that the company “is eliminating 44 additional ingredients from its private-label products—including select artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners—expanding its restricted ingredient list from 13 to 57. Other companies should follow their lead.”

Kennedy Prioritizes Peptide Common Sense

The FDA reversed a 2023 Biden-era decision that placed 12 popular peptides on its “high safety risk” Category 2 list, which had fueled a dangerous black market.

“We took long-overdue action to restore science, accountability, and the rule of law,” HHS Secretary Kennedy said. The FDA will remove the 12 peptides from Category 2 after their nominators withdrew them, and will present them to the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee for independent expert review at its next two meetings, starting in July.

FDA Cracks Down on Pharma Trials

The FDA notified more than 2,200 medical product companies and researchers of their legal obligation to submit clinical trial results to ClinicalTrials.gov. An internal analysis found that nearly 30 percent of mandatory studies are missing required results, contributing to publication bias that often suppresses unsuccessful trials.

The agency is now seeking voluntary compliance for over 3,000 registered trials to provide clinicians and patients with complete, transparent data on the safety and efficacy of regulated medical products.

New POLITICO Poll Shows Support for Medical Freedom Rising

A new Public First poll by POLITICO, of 3,851 U.S. adults, found significant public support for core medical freedom issues. A plurality of Americans expressed concerns about vaccine risks and supported greater individual choice.

Key findings include:

• 41% support reducing the number of vaccines Americans receive.

• 46% believe the science on vaccines is still up for debate and that enforcing uptake is damaging.

• 47% say parents should be the final decision-makers for their children’s vaccinations.

• 47% believe the government should prioritize individual freedom of choice over collective health.

• 41% say the government’s role should be to provide information and advice, while leaving final decisions to individuals.

The Secretary Kennedy Podcast Goes Live

Secretary Kennedy released the first episode of The Secretary Kennedy Podcast, which featured an in-depth interview with world-renowned Chef Robert Irvine. The pair discussed America’s broken food system and initiatives to improve nutritional quality in schools and the armed services.

Before Congress, Kennedy Justifies HHS and CDC Budget Cuts

On April 16, Secretary Kennedy testified before the House Ways and Means Committee, defending budget cuts, stating that HHS and, in particular, CDC were running bloated budgets which empowered bureaucracy at the expense of the fight against chronic disease.

“For too long, the agencies meant to protect us have become the marketing arms of the industries they are supposed to regulate,” Kennedy told the committee. “We are going to turn the lights back on and restore the gold standard of science at the CDC and FDA.”

Kennedy argued that the current $4 trillion healthcare industry is incentivized to maintain a sick rather than a healthy population. He suggested that a reprioritized budget, one that funds prevention, nutrition, and transparency, serves public health goals far better than a bloated budget. He also said that these goals are nonpartisan and serve the interests of all Americans.

Gatorade Goes MAHA

Secretary Kennedy thanked Gatorade for its decision to remove artificial FD&C colors from its beverages. Kennedy added that the company will replace artificial colors with FDA-approved plant-based dyes from fruits and vegetables.

Tax Relief Coming From HHS

On Tax Day, HHS announced that Americans spend over $4 trillion annually on healthcare due to the chronic disease epidemic. The Department added that the Trump administration is working to urgently reduce costs by lowering drug prices, implementing common-sense policies, and improving access to affordable, nutritious food.

USF Health in Tampa, Florida is the latest medical school to commit to HSS recommendations for teaching nutrition to future physicians. UT Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas, Texas also committed to provide courses in nutrition to students.

Kennedy Honors Families with Autism

On the occasion of Autism Month, Secretary Kennedy released a video honoring families of children with autism.

In his poignant address, Kennedy said, “Children are a blessing to their families, and children with autism are no different. They bring resilience, joy, and a sense of purpose to most families. It’s also true that raising a child with autism and being a person with autism comes with a lot of challenges.”

Kennedy continued, “ Despite its prevalence, families often feel that they carry the weight alone. And let me assure you that with this administration, you do not. My commitment to you is that we will do nothing about you, without you. Within the past year, we launched a bold effort to better understand autism—its causes, its treatments, and how we help every individual flourish. You are citizens with rights, with talents, and with a future that this government has a responsibility to support.”

Kennedy Launches Podcast

Secretary Kennedy launched a podcast. “This podcast is about telling the truth, especially when it’s uncomfortable,” Kennedy said. “I’m going to have fearless conversations with critical thinkers, including independent doctors, respected scientists, and leaders in medical innovation and research. I’m going to ask the questions and lift the taboos and expose the hypocrisy and the conflicts and the corruption.”

More Medical Schools to Teach Nutrition

Florida State University College of Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center are the latest institutions to offer new nutrition courses for future doctors.

Health and Nutrition for Rural Americans

HHS committed $135 million to expand nutrition services and strengthen the rural health work force. Kennedy announced the investment in Arizona alongside HRSA Administrator Tom Engels. Kennedy said his goal is to prevent chronic diseases, improve access to care, and support new rural physician residency programs.

Iowa to Offer Compassionate Options for Foster Care

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill that makes foster parent training more flexible and personalized.

She also directed the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services to join the federal “A Home for Every Child” initiative to strengthen child welfare and ensure every child has a stable home.

CMS Debuts Tech Initiative

CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz launched the first phase of the HealthTech Ecosystem, a strategic initiative designed to transition the American healthcare system into a fully digital, patient-centered era.

With a new Medicare App Library and a suite of interoperable tools, CMS aims to eliminate outdated manual processes like fax machines and paper intake forms. A central feature of this rollout is the “Kill the Clipboard” initiative, which allows patients to securely share their health data with providers through a simple mobile scan, streamlining the check-in process and reducing administrative errors.

Kennedy Proposes Historic Investment in Native Health

Secretary Kennedy spoke at a tribal conference in Arizona’s Gila River Indian Community. In his remarks, Kennedy proposed a $1.1 billion increase in Indian Health Service (IHS) funding for 2027 while highlighting his commitment to Native American health issues like substance abuse and disease prevention.

Kennedy said, “Tribal nations know how to care for their people — and we are expanding their authority to drive better outcomes.” He continued, “At HHS, we are investing in infrastructure, incorporating traditional foods into federal nutrition policy, and delivering results in Indian Country while upholding tribal sovereignty.”

Victory for Medical Freedom in Kansas

The MAHA State Council of Kansas played a pivotal role in safeguarding medical freedom by advocating against the restrictive provision in HB2513. While the bill passed the House with an 84-36 vote, the council’s efforts helped stall the legislation in the Senate, effectively preventing a mandate that would have forced adherence to the bloated June 2025 CDC vaccine schedule.

By stopping this measure, the council ensured that Kansans are not subjected to a temporary but heavy-handed requirement of 94 mandated vaccine doses, a move that avoids a difficult future legislative battle to undo the provision. This strategic victory maintains the status quo while the council looks toward a future administration and a Health Department secretary committed to restoring vaccines as a matter of personal choice.

Microplastics

With the HHS and the EPA behind it, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) has launched a bold new initiative called STOMP (Systematic Targeting of MicroPlastics) to investigate and, where possible, eliminate microplastics from the environment and our bodies.

Backed by $144 million, the program aims to develop reliable tools for measuring microplastics and nanoplastics (MNPs) in tissues and fluids; understand how they contribute to disease; and ultimately create affordable methods to remove them. This effort addresses a pervasive modern exposure: plastics entering our systems through food, water, and air, with researchers detecting them in the lungs, arterial plaques, and even the brain.

Farm Food Coming to Hospitals

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published a special alert and an accompanying memorandum urging hospitals to serve food that complies with the new 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA). These guidelines emphasize whole, nutrient-dense foods and adequate protein while limiting ultra-processed foods, sugar-sweetened beverages, refined carbohydrates, and added sugars.

At the initiative’s launch in Miami, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praised Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for being the first in Florida to sign up. The hospital has committed to buying directly from local Florida farms, making it able to feed patients fresher and more nutritious food while reducing ultra-processed food options. Florida Agriculture Commissioner, Wilton Simpson, also supported expanding the state’s “Farmers Feeding Florida” program to hospitals, to improve patient nutrition, support local agriculture, cut waste, and strengthen domestic food supply chains.

“Hospitals are meant to heal—but too often, the food they serve holds patients back,” Dr. Oz said at the launch event. “It’s time for hospitals to prioritize real, nutrient-dense food, cut ultra-processed options, and align meals with evidence-based medical needs. The proper diet is one of the simplest, most cost-effective ways to improve outcomes, speed recovery, and build a healthier future.”

Relief for Ranchers

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to streamline grazing management on federal lands. The agreement formalizes a partnership between the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to cut regulatory red tape, accelerate the permitting process, and ensure no net loss of grazing capacity for ranchers. By reducing delays for infrastructure and emergency actions, the agencies aim to provide producers with the predictability needed to invest in their operations.

The initiative also focuses on strengthening the relationship between the government and the ranching community through enhanced communication and “ranch immersion” programs for federal staff. Key features include the use of targeted grazing to mitigate the risk of wildfires, the appointment of wildfire liaisons for permittees, and the adoption of new technologies like virtual fencing. Collectively, these measures are designed to make federal land management more transparent, responsive, and grounded in the practical realities of modern ranching.

Alabama Medical Schools Embrace Nutritional Education

Three Alabama medical schools – the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of South Alabama and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – announced they will adopt HHS guidelines and teach nutrition to medical students.

Eggs Are Back for Easter

Secretaries Kennedy and Rollins announced that 150 farmers from across the country will provide fresh eggs for this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll.

Secretary Rollins took the opportunity with the announcement to extol the nutritional benefits of eggs. “Packed with high-quality protein, healthy fats, vitamin D, choline, and essential nutrients growing kids need, eggs are exactly the kind of real food we should be putting back at the center of our tables, our schools, and our national conversation around health,” she said.
