I want to start with last Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling for Bayer/Monsanto, because it’s a devastating blow to public health. By shielding the maker of Roundup from liability for failing to warn people, the Court put profits ahead of American families. John Durnell used Roundup for about 20 years and developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. A jury of ordinary Americans heard the evidence and held Monsanto accountable — and the Supreme Court just threw that verdict out. The message to families is: once Washington stamps a label “approved,” you get no say and no day in court. And here’s what’s hard to stomach: Monsanto could have warned people, and two justices said so plainly. This is the same company whose old “safety” study was retracted last year after it came out they’d helped ghostwrite it. And this isn’t left versus right: The dissent was written by Justice Jackson and joined by Justice Gorsuch, appointed by opposite parties. That’s corporate capture, plain and simple — exactly what this movement exists to end.

So hear me clearly: This isn’t the end of the fight, it’s the start of a bigger one. We’ll go to Congress and demand they restore every American’s right to hold these companies accountable — and the Senate, writing its Farm Bill right now, must not write this shield back in. We’ll push the EPA for an honest, independent review of glyphosate, built on real science, not studies paid for by the people selling the chemical. And we’ll take it to the ballot box, because this is why the midterms matter and why we need MAHA candidates elected. Monsanto has the money, the lawyers, and now a ruling from the Supreme Court. We have something stronger: millions of Americans tired of being told to sit down and accept a food system that’s making their kids sick. We will not be quiet. We will not back down. We will not stop. Thursday’s decision is a setback, not the final word — and together, we’re going to win.

Now, as hard as that ruling was, this same week also brought major victories for the MAHA movement — victories that show our message is breaking through and our priorities are moving forward.

President Trump signed an Executive Order directing HHS, USDA, and EPA to scale regenerative agriculture across America. That means strengthening farm resilience, rebuilding soil health, reducing input costs, improving profitability for farmers, expanding export markets, and supporting rural communities. That’s exactly the kind of long-term thinking we need if we’re serious about reducing our dependence on toxic chemicals while keeping American agriculture strong.

Secretary Kennedy and Dr. Oz announced tremendous progress on eliminating healthcare fraud, to the tune of 6.5 billion dollars. We also saw continued commitment to the STREETS initiative — expanding peer support, strengthening faith-based partnerships, and helping more Americans find lasting recovery from addiction.

We are bringing back the Presidential Fitness Test and reversing the failed Fauci-era policies that did so much damage to public health and public trust.

And just yesterday, Secretary Kennedy announced the end of the Covid-19 Emergency Use Authorization declarations. HHS made clear that the emergency authorities used during Covid are no longer justified. As Secretary Kennedy put it, Americans deserve a regulatory system that is transparent, accountable, and rooted in the rule of law — and emergency powers must be temporary and targeted. This is a major step toward restoring accountability, transparency, and trust in our health agencies.

And there’s more accountability ahead. After years of oversight efforts led by Senator Rand Paul, Dr. Anthony Fauci has finally been subpoenaed, and is expected to testify on July 29.

MAHA is making incredible progress, but we must not lose focus and get discouraged by setbacks, because the people and institutions pushing centralized control over health, food, agriculture, and public policy are still powerful. They are still organized. And they are still working to shape the future of this country in their perverse image, not one that serves the American people.

One of the clearest examples is Bill Gates.

Bill Gates represents a broader model of power: private wealth influencing public health, vaccine policy, food systems, farmland, synthetic meat, climate interventions, and global institutions, without any transparency or democratic accountability. During Covid, Gates became one of the most visible private figures promoting mass vaccination and restrictive policies. No unelected billionaire should have that much influence over public health decisions that affect millions of families.

Let’s be honest about what’s at stake. While this administration is rebuilding our food system by investing in regenerative agriculture and healthier farming practices, Bill Gates has consistently backed a very different vision—one centered on technological interventions, including genetically modified mosquitoes, solar geoengineering research, large-scale farmland acquisition, lab-grown meat, and synthetic food production. MAHA believes the future of health begins by restoring nature, not replacing it. These are not isolated issues. They are part of a larger fight over who controls our health, our food supply, our farms, our children’s future, and our freedom.

The MAHA movement stands for something very different. We stand for real food. We stand for regenerative agriculture. We stand for family farms. We stand for medical freedom. We stand for transparency, informed consent, and accountability. We stand for parents, children, farmers, workers, and communities. And we are proving that when people get organized, when they speak the truth, and when they refuse to back down, they can win.

So, yes, this was a great week for MAHA. But we cannot get complacent. We must stay vigilant. We must stay focused. And we must keep fighting.

In this warm-spirited picture book from Regnery Kids, the fireworks of the Fourth of July do not merely fade into memory; they ignite a child’s dreams of the long, improbable road from Plymouth Rock to the balcony of Federal Hall.

The story opens in the present tense of a contemporary backyard celebration. A little boy, still buzzing from sparklers and hot dogs, asks his father why Americans sing of “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” The father’s gentle answer—that brave men once fought all night so a flag might still wave at dawn—plants the seed.

When the boy is tucked in beside his golden retriever puppy, that seed blossoms into a vivid, first-person dream. He sails on the storm-lashed Mayflower with the Pilgrims, shivering through their first brutal winter and rejoicing at the first Thanksgiving feast shared with Squanto and the Patuxet people. He slips into Boston Harbor with the Sons of Liberty to dump tea into the dark water, rides hell-for-leather beside Paul Revere, and helps ring the Liberty Bell after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He flies a kite with Ben Franklin in a thunderstorm, crosses the ice-choked Delaware with General Washington, and watches the British surrender at Yorktown.

Later the boy sits in the sweltering room where the Constitution is debated and cheers as George Washington takes the oath of office in New York City, the nation’s first capital.

What elevates the book beyond a brisk trot through famous dates is the dream device. Because the boy is not a passive spectator but an eager participant—clutching a small flag, straining on tiptoe to ring the great bell, huddling in Washington’s boat—the reader feels the emotional stakes of each moment. The ever-present puppy supplies both comic relief and emotional continuity, a furry thread stitching 1620 to 1789.

When the child awakens, still clutching his flag, the dream does not dissolve into mere fantasy; it propels him and his parents toward a large map of the U.S., where they begin placing the very icons he has just visited. The final pages thus transform bedtime into a quiet call to civic engagement: history is not finished; it is a place you can still go.

Paul writes with a light, confident hand that trusts children to grasp large ideas when they are wrapped in story. The Mayflower Compact becomes an early promise that people can make their own rules. The Declaration’s assertion that rights come from God, not kings, is explained without jargon. The Bill of Rights is introduced through the boy’s delight that Americans will always be free to speak their minds. None of this feels didactic; it feels like the natural conversation a curious child might have with a parent who loves the country enough to explain it clearly.

Monesi’s illustrations match the text’s tone perfectly—rich yet never fussy, historically evocative without descending into costume drama. Fireworks bloom across night skies, candlelight flickers in colonial taverns, and the icy Delaware glitters with menace and beauty. Historical figures are rendered with humanity: Washington looks resolute but kind; Franklin twinkles with curiosity; the boy’s wide eyes invite every young reader to imagine stepping into the frame. The recurring motif of the American flag, sometimes tattered, sometimes triumphant, gives the visual narrative a quiet emotional spine.

Good Night, Young American offers families a gentle yet substantive way to mark 2026. In an age when much children’s literature treats patriotism as a problem to be solved, Paul presents an unapologetic yet age-appropriate affirmation of the founding. She does not pretend the path was bloodless or that every promise was immediately kept; the cold, the hunger, and the long war are acknowledged. But she insists that the destination—a self-governing republic rooted in the conviction that liberty is a gift worth defending—was worth the cost.

That conviction, offered without irony or apology, is precisely what many parents will welcome as the nation turns 250.

When the boy finally whispers, “What a wonderful dream I have had… because I was there,” he models the imaginative leap that turns passive inheritance into active stewardship.

Good Night, Young American is more than a charming bedtime story. It is an invitation to raise a generation that knows not only the words of the National Anthem but the nights of courage that gave those words their meaning.

As we near July 4, this is the book to read aloud after the parades have ended and the sparklers have cooled off—when the house is quiet, the flag is folded for the night, and a child’s dreams are still forming.

Kennedy posted on X , reminding the public that he had promised four things: to end covid vaccine mandates; to keep vaccines available to people who want them, especially the vulnerable; to demand placebo-controlled trials from companies; and to end the emergency.

“In a series of FDA actions today we accomplished all four goals,” Kennedy wrote. “The emergency use authorizations for Covid vaccines, once used to justify broad mandates on the general public during the Biden administration, are now rescinded.”

In a press release posted on the HHS website, Kennedy further stated, “Americans deserve a regulatory system that is transparent, accountable, and rooted in the rule of law. By ending these COVID-19 emergency use authorization declarations, we’re reinforcing public confidence that emergency authorities are temporary and targeted.”

Kennedy noted that the FDA is promulgating marketing authorization for high-risk groups: Moderna (6+ months), Pfizer (5+), and Novavax (12+).

“These vaccines are available for all patients who choose them after consulting with their doctors,” Kennedy wrote on X. “The American people demanded science, safety, and common sense. This framework delivers all three.”

EUAs are granted by the FDA to medical products when no approved, alternative product is available. The Covid vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna were both made available through EUAs prior to receiving full FDA approval in 2021 and 2022.

The standards for EUAs and full FDA approval are different. In order for a product to receive an EUA, it must be determined that its potential benefits outweigh its potential risks. This is different from the standard that medical products must achieve for full FDA approval, which requires that manufacturers prove that those products are safe and effective.

In May, the FDA granted full approval to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for at-risk children, making it the first Covid vaccine, not through an EUA, available for children between 6 months and 11 years old.

Covid vaccines had been available to all children. In many states, these vaccines were mandatory for children. However, Kennedy announced earlier this year that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) no longer recommended the vaccine to healthy children and pregnant women.

Kennedy’s latest move will likely raise the ire of major medical organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), which has been instructing pediatricians to ignore federal recommendations and follow AAP’s guidance: that all children receive Covid vaccines – not only those at risk.

Last August, Kennedy criticized the AAP for being captured by corporate interests, noting that four companies “make virtually every vaccine on the CDC recommended childhood schedule.”

As an increasing percentage of the American public grows suspicious of the vaccine burden placed on America’s youth, the AAP appears woefully out of step.

And while many in the medical establishment oppose the latest changes that Kennedy has implemented, he has not reduced the availability of Covid vaccines for those who want them.

“Accountability starts with acknowledging there’s a problem,” says Stephanie Weidle, the executive director of Feds for Freedom, which formed hastily in 2021 after the Biden administration announced the vaccine mandate on the entire federal workforce.

On Wednesday, at a conference at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. called “National Security Beyond the Headlines,” the organization will push for that accountability, framing the issue of health freedom in the broader context of national security as America celebrates 250 years of independence.

The lineup of speakers includes Joe Kent, the former head of the National Counterterrorism Center who resigned over the Iran War; Dr. Robert Malone, the co-inventor of the mRNA vaccine technology; Steve Baker, an investigative journalist who was arrested by the FBI; Dr. Meryl Nass, an expert on the broad spectrum of injuries that can be caused by vaccines; Ivan Raiklin, a constitutional attorney and former Green Beret; Emily Kopp, a journalist who has investigated the origins of the Covid virus; Chris Martenson, founder of Peak Prosperity; and Jeffrey Tucker, founder of the Brownstone Institute.

Conference organizers will be asking the following questions throughout the day: Is glyphosate the answer to national security, or is it the actual risk? Are vaccines protecting our soldiers and citizens or harming them? Does heightened government surveillance protect Americans or does it pose the ultimate risk? Is the lack of accountability in the U.S. government in fact the greatest threat to America itself?

At the end of the day on Wednesday, the organizers will identify the most promising solutions and present them to senior U.S. leaders.

More than a million Americans died from Covid, according to the official numbers – the highest of any country in the world – though many have speculated that half or more of these are likely not Covid deaths per se, but deaths caused by hospital protocols administered by doctors and nurses. No one has been held accountable.

Thousands of federal employees were injured by the Covid vaccine, and their injuries in most cases have been denied by doctors and the federal government. Because of the PREP act, they cannot sue. There is no one to hold accountable.

Feds for Freedom came together in the fall of 2021, in the weeks after President Joe Biden announced that all federal employees would be mandated to get the Covid vaccine. It was the first time a vaccine had ever been mandated for the entire federal workforce.

Marcus Thornton was a Foreign Service Officer with the State Department and was in Russian-language training when the mandate came down. He and other federal employees quickly organized. One of them was Jim Erdman, a CIA officer. Together, they co-founded Feds for Freedom.

“We came to the realization that no one was going to save us,” Thornton told The MAHA Report.

Within a few weeks, they had 3,000 members. They got to work finding a lawyer who could file an injunction to stop the vaccine mandate.

“We called probably 50 or 60 law firms before we finally found one that would represent us. No one wanted to take the case,” said Thornton.

They also hired a PR firm to get their case in the news. It didn’t do much good. Even Fox News wasn’t interested in the story.

Meanwhile in Washington, you couldn’t go to a restaurant to eat a meal without showing proof of vaccination, and thousands of employees of federal agencies allowed an injection into their bodies that they did not want.

“What was shocking to me was how willing people were to do that in violation of their conscience,” says Thornton.

In January of 2022, an injunction against mandates was approved by a federal judge. But a lot of the damage was done, and federal employees who’d objected and spoken out were starting to lose their security clearances, effectively ending their careers.

In 2023, while serving in the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Thornton went to his office one day to find that his badge didn’t work. He couldn’t get in the door. He contacted a supervisor who told him the ambassador, Lesslie Viguerie, wanted to speak with him.

“I met with the ambassador and he informed me that I was being relieved from my post for loss of confidence,” says Thornton. He and his family had to pack up and go back to D.C. He managed to hang on as Foreign Service Officer, and get another post in the State Department. But no one who was involved in punishing him for speaking out has ever faced any accountability. Lesslie Virguerie, to this day, remains the U.S. ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. There’s been no apology, no retraction of the negative notes in his personnel file. Nothing.

But Thornton, Erdman and the other federal employees aren’t looking for retribution. They want things to change.

“It did serious damage to our national security,” says Thornton. It’s for this reason, he says, that he wants accountability.

Across the government, he said, people need to face consequences as individuals for having violated the rights of others, or it could all happen again.

“The accountability needs to be on par with what you would face in the private sector if you engaged in egregious, unethical behavior,” he says.

When you enlist in the military, you take this oath:

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), Article 92, service members must obey lawful orders. Failure to obey such orders can lead to serious punishment, including court-martial.

But there is a key qualifier: the order must be lawful. If an order is manifestly illegal, service members not only may refuse it — they have a duty to do so.

In Duty to Disobey, produced by Tommey Burrowes along with Children’s Defense Fund (CHD), we learn that many of our nation’s warriors upheld their oath when confronted by the military’s illegal Covid vaccination mandate.

And paid dearly for it.

Duty to Disobey will leave you shaken. It is a sobering reminder of the unhealed wounds of the government’s response to the Covid pandemic. A reminder that the government responded to an awful virus in an awful manner.

As you watch, remember: this was done to those who committed their lives to serving all of us. If they do this to our nation’s defenders, they will eventually do it to civilians.

In the film, we see a soldier, isolated in the brig for refusing to submit to the military’s Covid vaccination mandate, bum rushed by five guards who force him to the floor of the cell.

“Get on the floor! Get on the floor!”

While not every service member was thrown in the brig or placed in solitary confinement, many suffered equally cruel treatment ranging from dishonorable discharge, loss of pay, loss of health benefits, loss of promotions and duty restrictions.

The film also shows service members who complied with the vaccine mandate and were injured – with stroke, cancer, flu, nerve damage, high blood pressure and Guillain-Barré syndrome. What’s more, military members and medical personnel tell us that health data was manipulated and military administrators often dismissed health concerns.

Retired Airforce Colonel Tom Rempfer, author of Unyielding: Marathons Against Illegal Mandates, told me, “Duty to Disobey is a requisite watch for civic- minded Americans that demand their service members uphold their oaths of office and refused to comply with illegal mandates for unapproved medical products.”

Mary Holland, CHD’s CEO, noted that military members “Did not get the licensed vaccines that they were told they were getting. That was illegal and they stood up for their rights. They stood up for the Constitution. They had a duty under the military code to stand up.”

Rempfer concurred. “The products violated U.S. law,” he said. “I am grateful to COVID-era vets and our new department of war leadership who learned from the illegal anthrax-era mandates.”

In January 2025, President Donald Trump directed the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to reinstate discharged service members with restored rank, back pay and benefits. In April, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth signed a memorandum clarifying those procedures.

However, as of this writing, the Department of War has not fully awarded back pay and, for the most part, disciplinary records tied to vaccine refusal remain in effect. Only about 150 service members have been reinstated. More action is needed, including correcting discharge status, restoring retirement benefits, and reforming the religious accommodation process.

Duty to Disobey eloquently exposes how our government failed the men and women in the military – brave souls to whom we owe the utmost respect. The film calls for more than just an apology. It demands accountability.

Since its inception, the MAHA movement has focused on the chronic disease epidemic caused by highly processed foods deficient in essential nutrients. Updating the nation’s food pyramid and fighting against using food additives were long overdue improvements to Americans’ nutrition, but procuring healthier food for the nation’s grocery stores, school cafeterias and hospitals also requires dramatic shifts in agricultural production methods.

On June 25, President Trump issued a broad executive order, Advancing Regenerative Agriculture and Strengthening American Farm Resilience, to support that transition.

Tensions between organic farming methods and conventional, often chemical-dependent farming practices create friction between farming communities and consumer groups. Some activists demand clean, organic foods immediately, while others want affordable food and are not concerned about possible chemical residues. The president’s effort to reduce chemical contamination by supporting regenerative practices hit a nerve among the former group, who want the president to do more to eliminate chemical use.

One concern is with the use of the term “regenerative.” Large producers and corporations often co-opt labels such as “organic,” “GMO-free,” and “sustainable” by applying them to products or practices that are not beneficial. This weakens consumer trust, undercutting profitability for organic producers and rewarding bad actors.

However, many regenerative farming advocates applauded Trump’s executive order. Kelly Ryerson, of American Regeneration, stated, “The administration’s new mandate to prioritize resources and attention to regenerative agriculture is a refreshing and much-needed commitment to provide our struggling farmers with a viable offramp from the chemical treadmill that keeps them mired in debt.”

Ryerson continued, “HHS spotlighting the connection between soil health, farming practices, and human health is exactly the work that will expedite relief from our chronic disease epidemic.”

Most organic producers understand that, short of a purist agricultural system in which all farms are organic, large conventional farms must be incentivized to use fewer polluting methods where possible, which means implementing what can only be called “regenerative” practices. U.S. agriculture has been pressured to adopt industrial methodology and rapid consolidation for decades, resulting in a system that depletes soils, water resources, and nutrients.

Such methods include the production of a massive amount of genetically modified corn and soy every year, used in animal feed and fuel production. These crops are not transitioning to organic overnight, and rely on routine applications of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. The June 25 executive order does not aim to convert all U.S. farmland to organic production rapidly, but rather to reduce the amount of chemicals used in existing industrial systems. Following decades of federal subsidies and regulations that pressured farmers to invest in chemical applications, the Trump administration is implementing unprecedented steps to reverse that trend.

The EO also specifically calls for research into the potential adverse health impacts of cumulative chemical residue exposures, the development of less toxic alternative chemical products to replace current agricultural chemicals, and a long-overdue study of the impacts of glyphosate and other chemicals used as pre-harvest desiccants. This information can serve as the foundation for future reductions in chemical applications to Americans’ food and ethanol supplies.

Announcing interagency plans to boost regenerative farming, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. explained: “The quality of our food begins with the way we grow it, and that’s why America’s farmers are essential partners to this mission. At HHS, … through the Advanced Research Projects for Health, we’re investing in new technologies that can reduce reliance on chemical crop protection tools while improving human health.”

Conventional farmers are learning that new technologies allow them to reduce (but not eliminate) expensive chemical applications while increasing yields using regenerative practices such as reduced tilling, cover cropping, rotational grazing, and intercropping. This is a dynamic shift in crop management that is less harmful to soils and uses fewer chemical inputs.

No, President Trump’s E.O does not convert the U.S. agricultural system to organic production, as many Americans wish the nation would do. Yet a major transition of that degree would send economic shocks throughout farming communities and into grocery store shelves. American farming shifted to chemical dependency over many decades; it will not revert to clean soils and zero chemicals overnight.

Some Americans abhor President Trump so greatly, or fantasize so forcefully that the U.S. farming system will transform overnight, that they fail to acknowledge that no president has ever done anything remotely like issue an executive order marshaling federal funds and agency resources to galvanize action to reduce chemical use and incentivize the nation’s crop farmers to use fewer chemicals in production. This is the most sensible and cost-effective way to begin reversing the folly of routinely dousing American farmland with chemicals whose effects are insufficiently studied and understood.

Improving soil health and reducing chemical exposures fits the MAHA policy agenda. U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins praised America’s farmers, saying, “All the work on dietary guidelines, and better health in foods, and better health in America’s diets, all of the make America healthy again effort is about putting our farmers and ranchers and real food back at the center of what we’re doing here in Washington.”

Yes, the nation has a long way to go to learn how to better steward its soils. But new technologies permit aerial observation to reduce chemical applications and study soil health. Other advances can break down existing chemical pollution, develop less harmful alternatives, and educate farmers in how to apply these emerging technologies. The federal government is paying American farmers to learn and to change practices. These policies simultaneously boost rural farming economies, protect vital water supplies, and reduce soil erosion and chemical pollution.

As an organic farmer (and diner), I want to see America’s farming systems transition to holistic, healthy soil and land stewardship. But to do so, Americans must not view their crop farmers as villains to be vanquished, but as allies and neighbors to be recruited.

In my 2023 book, Small Farm Republic, I advocate for diverting some of the massive crop insurance and other federal subsidies to support regenerative practices. President Trump’s latest executive order takes meaningful steps in that direction – providing much-needed economic relief to farmers while incentivizing agricultural practices that help move the nation toward a cleaner environment and food supply.

Welcome to the MAHA Media Hub, and welcome to the MAHA Revolution. I’m Tony Lyons, president of MAHA Action.

Today we’re going to talk about something that sits underneath every other fight we have — because if we lose this one, we lose all of them. I’m talking about censorship. I’m talking about propaganda;the quiet machinery that decides what you’re allowed to find, what you’re allowed to read, and ultimately what you’re allowed to think.

Here’s the thing. You can win the argument on the science. You can have the data, the studies, the real-world evidence all on your side. And it won’t matter one bit if the American people can never find it. That’s the game. They don’t have to beat your ideas in the open. They just have to make sure your ideas never see the light of day.

For years, that’s exactly what happened to this movement. Bobby Kennedy’s The Real Anthony Fauci, arguably the most important book of our generation, sold 1.4 million copies and was, at the same time, one of the most censored books in recent history. When it came out, it wouldn’t appear in search results on Amazon — you had to type the entire title into the search bar just to find it. And when you finally located the listing page, at the very top was a reference to a fake CDC website. It wasn’t available in bookstores or libraries or most websites. It was omitted or lowered on bestseller lists. It was called misinformation. Think about that. A runaway bestseller that the gatekeepers tried their best to bury. That’s not a free marketplace of ideas:That’s a rigged one.

So let’s talk about how the rigging actually works, because most people don’t see it.

Start with search. When you type a question into Google, you probably assume you’re getting the best answer, or at least the most relevant one. You’re not. You’re getting the answer somebody decided you should see. Type in a question about vaccine safety, about a particular drug, about an alternative treatment — and watch what comes up first. Time after time, it’s the same handful of establishment sites, the same corporate-friendly fact-checkers, the same official sources that have been wrong before and will be wrong again. The dissenting voices, the independent researchers, the doctors asking hard questions — they’re buried on Page 5, Page 10, or scrubbed entirely. Most people never click past the first few results, and the people who design these systems know that. The ranking is the censorship. They don’t have to delete anything. They just have to make sure you never scroll far enough to find it.

Then there’s Wikipedia — often the first source that comes up in that same Google search. A lot of people still treat it like a neutral encyclopedia; the people’s reference, written by everybody, owned by nobody. That’s the myth. The reality is that on any contested topic, a small number of anonymous editors control the page. They decide which sources count and which don’t. And, surprise! The sources they trust are the very same legacy outlets that have spent years smearing this movement, while the independent voices get dismissed as “unreliable.” The co-founder of Wikipedia himself, Larry Sanger, has said the site abandoned its original commitment to neutrality. Try editing the page of anyone in the MAHA world and see how long your edit survives. Minutes, if that. It gets reverted, the page gets locked, and the official narrative snaps right back into place.

And here’s the part that should really keep you up at night.

We Americans like to tell ourselves we live in a free society. After all, we have the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of speech. In the old communist countries, censorship was out in the open. Everybody knew the state ran the newspapers. Everybody knew the official story was the official story. The lie was obvious, so people developed a kind of immunity to it. They read between the lines. They trusted their own intuition over the headline. They knew they were being lied to, and that knowledge protected them and made them strong.

Here, it’s the opposite, and that makes it much worse. Here, most people genuinely believe they have free and open access to the truth. They believe Google just shows them what’s relevant. They believe Wikipedia is neutral. They believe the fact-checkers are protecting them. They believe The New York Times is practicing journalism. And because they trust the system, they never think to question it. A man who knows he’s in a cage can look for the door. A man who’s been convinced he’s already free will never even look. That’s the more sophisticated, more dangerous form of control — the kind that doesn’t feel like control at all. The kind that hands you a curated version of reality and lets you believe you chose it yourself.

The control is subtle. It’s a shadowban, a controversial post that mysteriously reaches almost no one. It’s an algorithm that throttles one voice and amplifies another. And sometimes it’s even quieter than that: a meaningless book, a book no reasonable person would read like Jill Biden’s book is listed as a No. 1 New York Times Bestseller. At the very same time, Eric Metaxas’s patriotic book Revolution, mysteriously banned at Barnes and Noble and hundreds of other left-leaning bookstores, sells almost double the copies — and ranked second. Our controlled information ecosystem is filled with such insidious examples.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it better than I ever could. “All we say to America,” he said, “is be true to what you said on paper... Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of the press.” He was holding this country to its own promise. And that’s all we’re doing here. We’re not asking for anything radical. We’re asking America to be true to what it said on paper.

I do want to point to one recent example where the control is not so subtle. On a recent JP Morgan client call, Secretary Kennedy was discussed in a presentation. What people on that call heard was nothing short of Big Pharma propaganda. They said he was anti-science, they said he was dangerous. And he is dangerous to the corrupt system that prioritized people over profits. Many of the reforms underway at HHS are focused on increasing transparency, reevaluating conflicts of interest, demanding higher standards of evidence, and addressing the chronic disease epidemic that has worsened despite decades of astronomical spending.

None of that is dangerous to MAHA moms, none of it is dangerous to any of us. But good news for us is bad news for those who poisoned and want to continue poisoning our children and all of us.

We want ordinary people to make informed decisions about their own health, their own kids, their own lives. We are not anti-anything. We just want real science, not the corporate corrupt kind, and a real chance for people to find it.

So here’s where MAHA stands. We are going to keep telling the truth on every channel they haven’t managed to close. The books. The films. The Substack. Our influencers, who reach hundreds of millions of Americans every single day — precisely because the old gatekeepers can’t shut them up. Every time they censor a voice, this movement gets louder and more powerful. That’s the part they never understood. Too many people finally understand how the system works.

Side Effects May Include Everything: A Guide to Living and Thriving with Chronic Illness (MAHA Books, July 14) is less a clinical manual than an authentic guide—one written by someone who has spent more than two decades inside the labyrinth of autoimmune disease and emerged not merely intact, but determined to light the path for others.

Zeppieri was 8 when her symptoms began and nearly 23 when she finally received a lupus diagnosis after years of being dismissed, gaslit, or told she was “too young to be this sick.” Those “mystery years,” as she calls them, form the emotional spine of the book.

Zeppieri moves briskly into the messy realities that follow diagnosis: the way illness infiltrates careers, marriages, sex lives, friendships, finances, and self-worth. But she is equally generous with hard-won strategies: how to advocate in 15-minute doctor appointments, how to disclose (or not) a condition at work, how to navigate intimacy when pain and medication conspire against desire.

She tackles medical PTSD with particular sensitivity, offering both conventional therapeutic approaches and somatic practices that honor the body’s stored trauma.

At the book’s heart lies “The Root & Bloom Protocol,” a three-tiered, patient-designed framework Zeppieri developed from her own trial-and-error journey. Tier 1 (“Root”) focuses on foundational testing, dietary shifts, and gut repair. Tier 2 (“Grow”) layers in functional medicine, targeted supplementation, and environmental toxin reduction. Tier 3 (“Bloom”) introduces advanced supportive therapies such as IV nutrition, hyperbaric treatment, and hydrotherapy. Flexible “sub-tiers” address bodywork, creative expression, and spiritual practice.

Crucially, Zeppieri makes no cure-all promises. She still takes pharmaceuticals. She is clear that healing is not linear and that what works for her may not work for everyone. The protocol is presented not as dogma but as a generous map drawn by someone who has walked the terrain.

The result is a book that feels like the wise, slightly irreverent friend you wish you’d had on diagnosis day—the one who tells you it’s OK to grieve the life you thought you’d have, then gently hands you tools to build a different one that is still full of purpose and joy.

Zeppieri’s Italian-family candor, journalistic clarity, and quiet faith (the book is dedicated to “the God who sees”) create a voice that is both authoritative and deeply relatable.

In an era when millions live with invisible illnesses, Side Effects May Include Everything arrives as a genuinely useful and humane contribution.It will not erase anyone’s pain. But it may, as Zeppieri hopes, make the burden feel a little less lonely and a great deal more manageable.

For patients, caregivers, and even clinicians who want to understand the daily texture of chronic illness beyond the chart notes, this is essential reading.

This is the kind of book readers will press into the hands of friends and family with the quiet urgency of someone who has finally been truly seen.

Science advances through challenge, criticism, replication, and debate. No scientific paper should be immune from scrutiny. But scrutiny is not the same thing as censorship, and disagreement with a study’s findings is not a legitimate reason to erase it from the scientific record.

Over the past several years, a troubling pattern has emerged in the research on homeopathy, the 230-year-old system of alternative medicine. Multiple peer-reviewed studies, published in reputable journals and surviving the standard editorial and peer-review process, have later been targeted for retraction years after publication. In many cases, the stated reasons for retraction did not involve fraud, data fabrication, plagiarism, or evidence of scientific misconduct. Instead, the papers appeared to be withdrawn because their findings challenged prevailing assumptions about homeopathy.

Four prominent cases illustrate the problem.

The Oberbaum Study: Real-World Outcomes in Children

In 2024, Menachem Oberbaum and colleagues published a pragmatic randomized controlled trial comparing homeopathic and conventional care in children from birth to two years of age. Despite a relatively small sample size, the study reported significantly more favorable outcomes in the homeopathy group across the primary endpoint and several secondary measures.

The paper attracted extraordinary attention, generating more than 30,000 downloads in the European Journal of Pediatrics.

Yet rather than stimulating further investigation, the study became the target of a retraction campaign. The authors publicly challenged the reasons given for retraction and provided detailed responses to the criticisms. Those responses, however, failed to prevent removal of the paper from the scientific literature.

Whether one agrees with the study’s conclusions is beside the point. The question is why a published study that passed peer review, generated substantial scientific interest, and whose authors contested the allegations against it was ultimately removed rather than debated.

The Frass Lung Cancer Trial: Five Years Later

Perhaps the most striking example involves Michael Frass and colleagues.

Published in The Oncologist in 2020, the study reported that adjunctive homeopathic treatment improved quality of life and prolonged survival among patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.

The study immediately became one of the most discussed clinical trials in homeopathy.

Then, five years later, came the retraction.

One rationale offered was that the study was not reproducible because patients received individualized homeopathic treatment. Yet individualized treatment is a defining characteristic of classical homeopathy and was fully described in the study design. If individualized prescribing were grounds for retraction, many forms of personalized medicine would face similar challenges.

Another allegation centered on an alleged undisclosed conflict of interest involving homeopathic medicinal products. Critics claimed that Frass both prescribed and marketed the products used in the trial.

According to Frass, however, he did not market the products, making the central accusation underlying the conflict-of-interest claim factually incorrect.

Again, the issue is not whether one accepts the study’s conclusions. The issue is whether a paper can be erased years after publication based on allegations that the authors dispute and that do not involve data falsification or misconduct.

The Macías-Cortés Depression Study

In 2015, Emma Macías-Cortés and colleagues published a randomized clinical trial in PLOS ONE examining individualized homeopathic treatment for depression in climacteric women.

The study found that individualized homeopathy and fluoxetine both produced significant improvement after six weeks of treatment.

Five years later, in 2020, the paper was retracted.

The authors subsequently explained that every concern raised by the journal had been addressed. More importantly, they argued that the issues identified represented potential limitations, not evidence of fraud or invalid data.

Scientific literature routinely contains studies with limitations. Indeed, every clinical trial has limitations. Such concerns are typically addressed through discussion, corrections, commentaries, systematic reviews, or future research.

Retraction has historically been reserved for cases involving serious scientific or ethical breaches.

In this case, critics appeared to move directly from disagreement to deletion.

The Bellavite Arnica Study

The fourth example moves beyond clinical medicine and into laboratory science.

In 2016, Paolo Bellavite and colleagues published research demonstrating that highly diluted preparations of Arnica Montana stimulated extracellular matrix gene expression in macrophages associated with wound healing.

The findings were significant because they suggested measurable biological effects from preparations diluted beyond levels many scientists would consider plausible.

Three years later, the article was retracted.

According to Bellavite, anonymous complaints triggered an editorial investigation. The authors responded extensively to technical questions and supplied additional explanations supporting their methodology and statistical analysis.

Ultimately, however, the stated reason for retraction was not evidence of methodological fraud or analytical error. Instead, editors cited concerns about whether sufficient evidence existed to show that biologically active ingredients remained in the highly diluted preparations.

This rationale is remarkable because it shifts the focus from the quality of the experimental work to skepticism about the underlying theory.

A scientific paper should be judged on its methods, data, and conclusions. If skepticism about a mechanism becomes grounds for retraction, many historically important discoveries would never have survived long enough to be understood.

A Double Standard?

Taken individually, each of these cases can be debated. Together, they raise a larger question.

Why are studies reporting positive findings for homeopathy subjected to post-publication scrutiny that often extends years beyond publication? Why are limitations treated as grounds for retraction in some cases while similar limitations in other fields are addressed through normal scientific debate?

Medical literature contains countless studies that later prove incomplete, imperfect, or even wrong. Yet most remain part of the scientific record. Researchers challenge them. Other scientists attempt replication. The evidence evolves.

That process is how science is supposed to work.

Retraction was never intended to become a mechanism for removing unpopular results.

The Stakes Extend Beyond Homeopathy

This issue is not ultimately about homeopathy.

It is about whether scientific inquiry remains open to investigating observations that challenge prevailing assumptions.

If studies can be removed not because they are fraudulent but because their conclusions are unwelcome, the scientific literature risks becoming a record not of inquiry but of consensus enforcement.

Science does not advance by declaring certain questions off limits. It advances by allowing evidence to be examined, criticized, replicated, and debated.

The proper response to controversial findings is better research, not erasure.

Whether one supports or opposes homeopathy, everyone who values scientific freedom should be concerned when peer-reviewed studies are removed from the literature for reasons that appear to reflect disagreement rather than demonstrable misconduct.

A healthy scientific culture depends not on protecting orthodoxy, but on protecting the right to question it.

A core part of the antitrust division’s mission at DOJ, said Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole Sarrine, is “to identify situations where illegal, anticompetitive conduct — such as conspiracies among companies to stop competing — has contributed to rising prices.”

According to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, ground beef prices were $6.74 a pound in May, a 16% increase over last year and 40% more than five years ago, in 2021. In a forecast earlier this year, the USDA estimated that beef prices will rise by as much as 18% in 2026.

What’s causing that spike?

The Justice Department is using its new, America First approach to scrutinize foreign-owned beef companies operating in the United States. In May, the USDA and the DOJ said they are investigating foreign-owned beef companies for manipulative practices and potential antitrust violations, which they believe have contributed to driving up the price of ground beef for Americans.

Four meatpacking companies – Cargill, Tyson Foods, JBS USA and National Beef Packing – control 85% of the U.S. beef market. Two of these – JBS and National Beef Packing – are subsidiaries of companies that are based in Brazil.

At the press conference in May with Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and senior trade adviser Peter Navarro, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins referred to JBS and National Beef Packing as “a threat not just to our cattle producers, but a threat to America itself.”

JBS is the largest beef producer in the U.S. and the nation’s second-largest producer of poultry and pork. Half of the company’s annual revenue comes from the U.S., where it employs more than 72,000 people.

The company’s U.S. headquarters are in Greeley, Colorado.

In 2022, JBS agreed to a $52.5 million settlement with grocery stores and wholesalers which alleged that JBS had worked with Tyson Foods and other companies to suppress the number of cattle slaughtered in order to increase beef prices.

At the May press conference, Rollins said that foreign ownership of meatpacking companies has been affiliated not just with corruption and cartels, but also slave labor.

Just days before, prosecutors in Brazil had filed a lawsuit against JBS, alleging that the company bought cattle from farms where workers were held in slavery-like conditions.

The civil action seeks around $24 million in American dollars – a number that prosecutors say reflects the value of transactions between JBS and suppliers.

According to the lawsuit, 53 workers were rescued between 2014 and 2025 from properties owned by seven ranchers that were the meatpacking company’s suppliers.

Prosecutors said that the ranchers were listed in Brazil’s public registry of companies that were found to have subjected workers to conditions that are similar to slavery.

Peter Navarro said foreign ownership of beef production, along with a historically tight cattle supply and the dominance of the meatpacking industry by the four large companies, has driven up the cost of beef for all Americans. These foreign companies are accused of collusion, price fixing, and price manipulation.

Consolidation across the meatpacking sector has narrowed marketing options for ranchers, Rollins explained.

“It weakens their negotiating power, and it risks reliance on a single buyer,” Rollins said. “Today, the concentration of larger plants opens the door to tighter coordination by the ‘Big Four’ with producers. As ranchers face fewer options for selling their animals, the ‘Big Four’ grow stronger and stronger.”

Disruptions in highly concentrated markets can have widespread impacts, Rollins added.

“When just four firms control a market, suppliers and food prices are rocked heavily when disruptions occur,” Rollins said. “The last few years have proven that the protein sector, especially, and therefore our food security, is especially at risk when global pandemics, animal disease outbreaks and facility issues like fires, labor disputes, foodborne illnesses and cybersecurity attacks occur.”

“More U.S.-owned packers in more American regions of the country provides more opportunities for our ranchers and stronger food security for our country,” she added.

Rollins linked the probe to a broader food-security concern, explaining that the U.S. has lost more than 17% of its cattle ranchers over the last decade, a total that includes more than 100,000 ranches.

“Growing the herd size is an immediate problem in need of solutions, and we’ve already begun implementing across the government and into the states how we’re going to solve for that,” Rollins said.

“Droughts, wildfire, overregulation from previous administrations and volatile markets,” have contributed to the current cattle herd size, Rollins pointed out.

Navarro was also critical of the political spending of the foreign beef companies in the U.S., saying JBS “hands out millions of dollars to our American political system like it’s candy.”

“And the rate of return they get on that would make a Wall Street hedge fund blush, and we have got to put a stop to that,” he added.

The investigation into the foreign-owned beef companies was prompted by President Donald Trump’s Nov. 7, 2025 executive order directing the DOJ to launch a probe into the nation’s largest meat packing companies. It referred in particular to “foreign-dominated conglomerates” that have been engaged in “artificially inflating prices at the expense of farmers, ranchers, and working families.”

The order was announced weeks after the DOJ concluded a multi-year investigation into major meatpackers that started during Trump’s first term.

Since November, the DOJ has reviewed more than 3 million documents and interviewed hundreds of people, including ranchers, cattlemen, producers and processors. R-CALF USA, a cattle producer advocacy group, praised the efforts by the DOJ, USDA, and White House.

Shad Sullivan, a cattle rancher who is also the organization’s property rights chair, said that the U.S. has lost more than 665,000 beef cattle operations since 1980, a figure that represents almost half of all producers. He attributed the decline to mergers and acquisitions, and the escalating influence of foreign meat conglomerates.

“Farmers, ranchers, and American consumers have suffered for too long at the hands of consolidated power,” Sullivan said.

Earlier this year, HHS and the USDA announced the launch of a national public awareness campaign that reminds farmers and ranchers of the “Product of USA” voluntary labeling standard that went into effect on Jan. 1.

For years, such a label did not mean what consumers thought it meant. Beef could be raised in another country, shipped to the U.S. as a carcass, cut or ground in America, and legally labeled a product of the U.S. because value was added through processing.

Consumers thought they were supporting U.S. ranchers when in actuality they were bolstering U.S.-based processing plants, many of which are owned by foreign interests.

Ground beef found in grocery stores can contain meat from multiple continents mixed together in a single package.

The “Product of USA” label is now reserved for meat, poultry, and eggs from animals that were born, raised, harvested, and processed in the U.S.

It is a voluntary program. Companies are not required to use the label. But if they do, they must meet the full standard. Beef from foreign countries cannot be sold in stores with a “Product of USA” label on it.

The issue of foreign ownership of American food companies has been an increasing concern in recent years, and last made headlines in 2014 when a Chinese company acquired Smithfield Foods, the largest pork producer in the U.S. and also the world.

But now, for the first time, an administration is determined to take action.

President Trump’s executive order referred to the companies as “foreign-owned meatpacking cartels” —and Rollins has called the Brazilian-owned companies, JBS and National Beef, “a threat to America itself.”

With Rollins leading the charge, the government is taking that threat seriously.

Skyhorse Publishing President Tony Lyons recently appeared on Steve Bannon’s podcast, “War Room” (which streams on Rumble), praising the Metaxas book as “epic” but also reporting that the book is being suppressed and censored.

“What we know is that it hit No. 2 on The New York Times Bestseller list,” Lyons said. “It should have hit No. 1. It was No. 1 on Amazon for the week it launched, and Jill Biden’s book, which sold far fewer copies and was No. 5 on Amazon, hit No. 1 on the Times list.”

Lyons also told Bannon that Metaxas’ book had the highest sales, despite political action committees buying copies of Jill Biden’s book to inflate numbers. Not only was Revolution No. 1 on Amazon for the week of June 7, Lyons said, but it was also No. 1 on Bookscan – which tracks sales in bookstores nationwide – and, for the week of June 11, #1 on Publisher’s Weekly and #1 on The Baltimore Sun.

Lyons said, “Two weeks after publication of both books, Revolution is #175 on Amazon, while Biden’s book has shriveled to #897. Books with organic sales, consumer sales, tend to have staying power.”

Yet despite moves to diminish the book’s reach and relevance, Revolution has struck a chord among readers – and well it should.

The immediate value of Revolution is in its exquisite nonfiction storytelling. The story begins before the war, in what Metaxas calls “the revolution before the revolution,” and recounts the historical and cultural context of the two nations as tensions escalate into open war. The gritty details of the war are surveyed, not so much as a military treatise but as a study of human character and the values that shaped the revolution.

The magnitude of this brilliant and beautifully written book is beyond the capacity of a review to capture, but it includes a recounting of the pivotal episodes in American history; and tracing the leaders and groups who emerged to lead the rebellion and subsequent war. Metaxas relies heavily on primary sources and creates vivid scenes, with help from 16 pages of art reproductions, bringing these dusty stories to a fresh, modern understanding. The reader learns about the Stamp Act, the Sugar Act, the Boston Massacre and subsequent legal proceedings, including the Boston Tea Party, the battle of Bunker (Breed’s) Hill, and Paul Revere’s ride. Also peppered throughout the book are details of the gruesome realities of war and how the nation’s founders suffered.

Throughout this gripping true-life tale, Metaxas incorporates quotations from the actual participants, conveying a deeper understanding of an ordeal we moderns often take for granted. Readers will read speeches by George Washington for the first time, and trace the emergence of patriotic luminaries like John and Sam Adams, Nathan Hale, Thomas Jefferson, and, of course, George Washington. These larger-than-life patriots are brought down to real life, and their motives and backgrounds are related in a way that personalizes them and reveals their humility and courage.

Metaxas himself was awed by what he learned in his research about these heroes, noting in a recent email to The MAHA Report: “When I set out to write this profound story, it was the discovery of the character of the men involved in the Revolution that STUNNED me.”

Readers may be stunned, too.

In the book, Metaxas tells the story of the young Nathan Hale, who famously said, just before he was hanged for spying on the British for the patriot cause: “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.”

Metaxas offers readers a biography tracing Hale’s education, faith, and tremendous accomplishments. By the age of 20, Hale had been promoted to captain in Connecticut’s Seventh Regiment, where he quickly distinguished himself by his piety, intellect, and bravery. Revolution relates a gripping story of Hale trying to steal a British supply ship moored off the coast.

“When the men in the sloop went to sleep, Hale’s plan was to sneak onto the ship, unmoor it, and then guide it quietly to the American side,” Metaxas writes. “When the man guarding the sloop at last said ‘All’s well!’ and went below, Hale knew it was time, soon after creeping aboard the vessel, and successfully guiding her to the wharf. It was a heroic effort, widely celebrated by the Americans.”

Hale agreed to join an elite espionage group called Knowlton’s Rangers, where he was the only member willing to slip into British-controlled territory to gather reconnaissance for General Washington. Most Americans know how the story ends, with Hale captured and hanged. But Metaxas adds depth and context perhaps available nowhere else: the names and characters of the British officers, descriptions of what Hale said and wore, and the route he traveled.

Metaxas extols the intelligence, discipline, and faith of the American founders, qualities that infused their against-all-odds determination to risk everything for the liberties the nation celebrates still in 2026. His critique of the British gentry and their hedonistic excesses incorporates tales not generally recounted in elementary school textbooks, such as the rape and murder of civilians by British regulars, and the torture and starvation of prisoners.

Metaxas focuses the reader’s attention on virtue and character, noting that “all the Founders believed for virtue to thrive, we must be a culture of robust religious faith,” and that the men leading the Revolution on the American side believed that they were engaged in something that was both divinely inspired and divinely directed. This dauntless assertion is a direct shot across the secular bow of modern efforts to portray all of the founders as deists and dismiss the central role of the Christian faith in the American Revolution. Metaxas is volleying in the nation’s ongoing American history wars, and he knows it.

He writes in the epilogue: “It seems impossible that we might sustain the liberty bequeathed to us by the men of the Revolutionary era without a culture as dedicated to faith and virtue as theirs.”

Metaxas is a gracious writer who tells our country’s story in a bipartisan, engaging way. He is not cudgeling readers; he is beguiling them with the art of the master storyteller.

This is a time, and a book, that should bring Americans together in gratitude for our heritage. It is, above all, a celebration of what unites us.

Hundreds of Beagles Saved From Cruel Experiments

HHS announced that Ridglan Farms, a Wisconsin dog-breeding facility that previously supplied animals for experimental research, will transfer its remaining 475 beagles to a large, cage-free, no-kill dog rescue. Most of the dogs have already been transferred out of the facility and will soon be available for adoption.. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins emphasized their agencies’ commitment to humane animal care and to replacing animal testing with effective alternatives wherever possible.

Kennedy Launches $96 Million Grant Program Targeting Addiction

HHS launched a $96 million grant program called STREETS (Safety Through Recovery, Engagement and Evidence-based Treatment and Support) to help cities, counties, and tribal organizations address substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness through treatment, recovery programming, housing support, and street outreach.

Eight applicants, or fewer, will receive up to $3 million annually for four years, with “harm reduction” services like safe injection sites explicitly barred. The initiative follows President Trump’s executive order targeting root causes of crime and disorder on America’s streets. This $96 million is separate from the $612 million HHS has committed in behavioral health funding.

Nestlé Goes MAHA

Nestlé USA announced this week that it has followed through on its promise from last year: the company will remove all petroleum-based dyes from its food and beverages, replacing them with natural dyes. This includes its recipe for Nesquick strawberry milk and all of the Nestle Vitality drinks, which are now being made using dyes from natural sources like fruit.

HHS Secretary Kennedy took to X to thank Nestle, writing: “Thank you, @Nestle, for eliminating synthetic dyes from your products. Nestlé stepped up and delivered. Now it’s time for every food company operating in America to do the same and help Make America Healthy Again.”

On June 29, a new federal advisory committee will hold a first public meeting in Washington. Its work could reshape how the administration combats one of the swiftest-growing health threats in the United States: Parkinson’s Disease (PD).

Worldwide, PD is the fastest-growing neurological disease and in America roughly 1.3 million people live with it, while doctors diagnose some 90,000 new cases each yeear. Moreover, the condition is difficult to diagnose; true numbers may be higher.

In July 2024, the Biden administration created The Advisory Council on Parkinson’s Research, Care, and Services and a National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act, which President Biden signed into law. It is the first federal law dedicated to preventing, diagnosing, treating, and curing the disease.

The act is named for Dr. Emmanuel Bilirakis, a physician who lived with Parkinson’s for years, and former Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton, who championed the bill after her own diagnosis with a related disorder.

Under the Trump administration, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) appointed new experts to the council in April, including Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos, who also currently serves as director of National Health Communications for the Office of the Surgeon General and acting Surgeon General.

The new council’s approach to Parkinson’s will be different from that of its Biden-era predecessor.

On June 10, Haridopolos joined The MAHA ‘Media Hub,” MAHA Action’s weekly podcast hosted by Tony Lyons. Noting that only about 13% of today’s Parkinson’s cases are genetic, Haridopolos said her focus will be on prevention and environmental exposure, to better understand what’s driving the PD spike.

“That means overwhelmingly 87% are due to multifactorial, mostly environmental toxins,” Haridopolos said during the podcast.

Beginning on June 29, she’ll join other members of the advisory committee including representatives from the FDA, CDC and EPA, and private citizens such as patients, doctors, researchers, and representatives of advocacy organizations.

Haridopolos points to questions the country has been slow to ask. Why is Parkinson’s appearing in more people at younger ages? And why do American veterans seem to face a higher incidence than the general public? The answers may lie in the toxic chemical exposures of 21st Century American life and military service. As has been well documented, pesticides, industrial solvents and other chemicals damage the brain over time.

The Chemicals Under Scrutiny

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) lists pesticide exposure as a major risk factor for Parkinson’s, and a growing body of research has tied specific chemicals to the destruction of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain. These chemicals are created to kill weeds, insects, and pests by attacking their nervous systems. Even at chronic low doses, there is cumulative damage to the human brain as well.

Paraquat sits at the center of the concern for researchers studying Parkinson’s. This fast-acting weed killer is sprayed on grains, almonds, strawberries, grapes, apples, and many common crops, with 11 to 17 million pounds used across American farmland each year. More than 70 other countries, including China and the entire European Union, have banned it.

Of any substance studied, Paraquat has one of the strongest links to Parkinson’s. This potent chemical triggers the oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage that destroy dopamine-producing neurons, the cells lost in PD. One study found that heavy exposure raises Parkinson’s risk by 150 percent. Case in point: In rural farming regions in Nebraska, Parkinson’s rates run two to four times higher than in the city of Omaha.

There are other problematic chemicals including Trichloroethylene, or TCE, an industrial solvent once used to degrease metal in factories, clean machinery on military bases, and dry-clean clothes. For decades it was dumped with little oversight, seeping into the soil and down into the drinking water of homes, schools, and whole towns. It is now linked to a sharply higher risk of Parkinson’s, often decades after exposure.

Rotenone, another pesticide, directly kills dopamine neurons in laboratory studies. And glyphosate, the most widely used weed killer in the world, is now detectable in most Americans’ bodies and has been tied to the same oxidative stress that drives neurodegeneration.

In May, Vermont became the first state in the nation to ban paraquat, when Governor Phil Scott signed the bipartisan legislation into law. The ban takes effect November 1.

At least a dozen other states, including New York, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Washington, have introduced similar measures. In April, the House approved an agriculture bill with an amendment allowing people to sue pesticide manufacturers whose products cause harm.

A Different Way of Looking at Cause

Haridopolos describes her approach through a field called exposomics, the study of how a person’s total environmental exposures, including diet, lifestyle, chemical pollutants and social factors, interact with their genetics across a lifetime. The list of suspected triggers is long, from pesticides and dry-cleaning chemicals to living near Superfund sites, head trauma, and air pollution.

She also introduced a word to define the debate ahead: agnotology, the deliberate production of ignorant information, often for commercial gain. Industries have practiced it for decades, she said, to obscure the harms of their products.

“There is nature and there is nurture,” Haridopolos said, “but the benefit of the doubt should go to the people and not to the chemical.” Such an approach would require chemicals to be proven safe before they enter the environment, rather than forcing scientists, regulators, and policymakers to prove harm only after a product is on the market and inside millions of bodies.

The Shift Toward Prevention

MAHA has long argued that chemicals should be proven safe before they reach the market, not after the damage is already done. Our nation’s chronic disease crisis cannot be fixed with doctors and pharmaceuticals. It must be confronted upstream, in the food, water, soil, and air that shape the nation’s health long before symptoms appear.

A federal council that treats Parkinson’s as a preventable disease, rather than an unlucky roll of the genetic dice, marks a meaningful shift. The council’s real test is whether it names the chemicals at the root of the Parkinson’s epidemic, and whether it takes strong action to remove them from our food, water, and soil.

Millions of Americans are waiting to find out.

“A lot of people, especially recently, have asked me how Bobby is handling some of the attacks that come at him,” Hines said on the weekly podcast. “We see hit pieces in the press, and I’m here to tell you, he takes it in stride. Bobby has one of the strongest wills of anyone I know and hit piece attacks don’t bother him. In fact, it only makes him stronger and it makes him more determined.”

The weekend before, The New York Times ran a long article under the headline: “Kennedy Shows Minimal Engagement with Vast Health Portfolio,” reporting that the Secretary of HHS shows “little interest in managing the details of his department” and instead is “single-mindedly focused on his top priorities” – which the article listed as food, pesticides and vaccines. It was a hit piece, but one that probably had many of his supporters cheering, knowing that the man in charge of public health is focused on these three huge issues and not getting pulled into the weeds of managing a federal agency with an annual budget of more than $3 trillion.

Kennedy, Hines said, knows that when you have truth on your side, it’s very powerful.

“It’s a very big job, I don’t have to tell you that,” said Hines. “But the work that Bobby is doing, the work that Dr. Oz is doing, it’s important. It could be disheartening because there are so many attacks and there are so many people coming at them. But, the strength of MAHA is like a force field around them.”

During the podcast, Hines also shared news of big MAHA wins around ultra processed foods. “I was just in his office yesterday, and [Special Advisor to HHS Secretary Kennedy] Calley Means came in and said, for the first time in over a decade obesity is down in America,” she said. “The obesity rate is down. [Bobby] also said that Americans are buying less ultra-processed food. So we are seeing results. We are seeing engagement. We are seeing the messaging getting out to people regardless of what the press is saying or what the attacks might be. Real progress is being made and it’s because of you. So I wanna thank you for that.”

Over the last several months, Hines has become a MAHA advocate and spokesperson, speaking at three MAHA Action gatherings at the Ned, a private club in Washington, D.C., and appearing on numerous podcasts and TV shows, including The Joe Rogan Experience, “The View,” The Tucker Carlson Show, The Megyn Kelly Show, “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Dedicated with Doug Brunt, The Katie Miller Podcast, The Adam Carolla Show, Club Random with Bill Maher, Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald, The Dr. Drew Show, and others.

In March, on The Outkick podcast, Hines addressed the outlandishness of the attacks on her husband and what he’s trying to accomplish at HHS.

“It’s really ridiculous for anyone to fight against wanting to remove petroleum-based dyes in food, or wanting to remove arsenic in baby formula,” she said.

The work that Kennedy is doing, she added, shouldn’t be controversial.

“We’re talking about people’s health. Either you’re happy that the U.S. is now paying lower pharmaceutical drug prices or you’re just angry about politics and you’re just never going to say you’re happy about that.”

At the MAHA Action event at the Ned last month, Hines made a point about the MAHA movement transcending partisanship.

“I love that the MAHA moms, they don’t care if you are a Republican, if you’re a Democrat, if you’re an independent,” she said. “They care about the policies that are being made that are impacting their families’ health. They are unstoppable, and I think Washington, D.C. will verify that because they are feeling it and they’re putting a lot of heat on the right people at the right time and I am really very, very proud of them.”

Cheryl Hines of course is the internationally recognized actress and comedian who co-starred on the hit show “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” playing the wife of comedian Larry David for all 12 seasons that the show aired on CBS.

With co-star David making the introduction, Hines and Kennedy met at a Waterkeeper fundraiser in 2005. At the time, Kennedy was an environmental lawyer in New York who’d made a name for himself suing companies for discharging industrial waste into the Hudson River, killing fish and threatening the livelihoods of Hudson River fishermen, whom Kennedy was representing.

The two were married in 2014 at the Kennedy home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, and were living in California when Kennedy announced, on April 19, 2023, that he would challenge President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination for president.

But halfway through, and seeing no path forward after the Democratic Party blocked him from the ballot in several states, Kennedy switched to running as an independent. And then, in late August of 2024, in a moment that the medical freedom movement will never forget, Kennedy joined Donald Trump onstage at a Glendale, Arizona rally, linking the health freedom movement, MAHA, to Trump’s Make America Great Again movement, MAGA.

After he was nominated by President Trump to head the Department and Health and Human Services and, in February 2025, was confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Kennedy and Hines took up residence in D.C.

“Being in Washington, D.C., you can feel the power of MAHA here,” Hines said on Wednesday, June 10 during the live MAHA Media Hub stream. “I will tell you, when the MAHA moms show up on Capitol Hill, no one is ignoring them. People are scared of them . . . . And a lot of people are cheering around the country.” …”

Hines was seated behind Kennedy during his confirmation hearings in late January of 2025 – hearings that brought thousands of MAHA moms to Capitol Hill, where they lobbied their senators to support Kennedy’s nomination.

“They are too knowledgeable and they are too loud to be ignored,” said Hines. “They get a lot of stuff done because they are true to their one mission – to keep their families healthy. So it is really something to see when you’re watching them go toe-to-toe on Capitol Hill against these politicians, and the politicians can’t argue that. They can try. But who is arguing against having a healthy family? It’s impossible.”

Hines has a 22-year-old daughter named Catherine from a prior marriage and is the author of a memoir entitled Unscripted, which was published by Skyhorse last November. In the book, she tells the story of the remarkable twists of fate that took her from Orlando and Tallahassee, Florida, where she grew up, to Los Angeles, where she struggled as an actress for many years, getting only bit parts, before finally landing the role of Larry David’s ever-patient wife on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” – a turn of events that she described in the book as life-changing.

During an appearance on ABC’s “The View” last October, Hines described what it was like meeting Kennedy. “He was living in New York,” she said. “I was living in L.A. I had just been in this entertainment sort of bubble. And then I meet him and he’s an environmental attorney and was just – he’s fascinating and he’s interesting and he’s smart and he’s funny, and completely different from anyone I’ve ever met in my life.”

One of the hosts of the show, Sunny Hostin, quoted from Hines’ book, in which she’d written that when Kennedy joined forces with Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign, her friends wrote to her, saying “You can’t let Bobby do this. He’s going to get Trump elected. You’ve got to stop him.”

Hines replied that she always shares concerns with her husband, but that she has not been a political person most of her life. She said that as a young adult, she was at first an independent and didn’t affiliate with any party, that she then changed her affiliation to Democrat, and has now changed back to independent.

It was Joy Behar who stepped in and brought up the issue of vaccines, pressing Hines on her views.

Hines replied that the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid out $5.4 billion for vaccine injuries since its inception.

“Yes, they are important and they are an important part of our health care,” she said about vaccines. “Can we do better? Can we make them safer? Can we listen to parents who say, ‘My child got the vaccine and changed, and stopped hitting markers and stopped developing the way they were developing’? Can we listen to people when they say that instead of saying, ‘you’re crazy’?”

Hines was widely praised for this careful and thoughtful response, and for asking that parents with vaccine-injured children be heard and respected, instead of being dismissed.

Secretary Kennedy and Cheryl Hines now live in a townhouse in Georgetown that they purchased last year. On the June 10 Media Hub, Hines said she’s been enjoying life in the nation’s capital.

“I have been cooking more, actually, since I’ve been in D.C.,” she said, “and I think Bobby appreciates it, though he really eats a very limited diet, we know this. He eats steak and ground beef and fermented vegetables. So I really don’t have to do much cooking for him.”

She said that Bobby is “as strong as ever” and will continue to fight.

“And one of the reasons why he can stay so strong is because of MAHA,” she said, “and because of the group that we have here. Everyone seems to move in such an organized, informed, enthusiastic way that it just is, a force, and we can feel it. He can feel it.”

Gabbard acknowledged that some of these biolabs were, from all available evidence, conducting dangerous gain-of-function (GOF) experiments on viruses to enhance their pathogenic potential. In other words, tinkering with how to make the viruses more dangerous to humans.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services, re-posted Gabbard’s statement on X, writing: “Thank you, @DNIGabbard, for exposing U.S. funded biolabs around the world. The American people deserve the truth.”

Of major American news organizations, only the New York Post, Fox News, One America News and NewsMax covered this bombshell story. Most legacy media organizations, including The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, PBS and the three broadcast networks all ignored it.

In her announcement, Gabbard pulled no punches and laid responsibility for the biolab funding on the doorstep of the former (and now pre-emptively pardoned) director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Thanks to Gabbard, we now know there are U.S.-funded biolabs in foreign countries where security is, at best, questionable. About 40 of the labs, for instance, are in Ukraine – some of them in war zones. The Russians may have already captured a lab or two.

One errant missile, one drone with a damaged propeller, one misfired bazooka, could unleash a deadly virus that Fauci paid some non-vetted foreign vaccinologist and/ or virologist handsomely to gin up into a supervirus that could kill millions.

This would simply add more bodies to Fauci’s already impressive body count and his broader resume of atrocities.

Gabbard noted that the fact of Fauci-funded foreign biolabs emerged years ago and was denied by the Biden administration which attacked, vilified, and censored those who raised the issue, as Kennedy did in his 2023 book, The Wuhan Cover-Up.

Senator Rand Paul also questioned why America is funding of foreign biolabs, in his book, Deception: The Great Covid Cover-Up.

Former CDC Director Robert Redfield, author of the 2025 book Redfield’s Warning, told listeners during the June 10 MAHA Media Hub that the public needs to be more informed about government-funded biolabs conducting dangerous biological research. Redfield recounted the recent arrest of two scientists, reportedly funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), who smuggled deactivated mpox virus in their luggage on a flight into Michigan.

“We need to take bio-security really seriously,” said Redfield.

Case in point: the two scientists Redfield mentioned – Vincent Munster, a citizen of the Netherlands, and Claude Kwe of Cameroon – flew to the States on a packed commercial plane from the Congo. Somehow they managed to board the plane carrying dangerous pathogens. These two researchers, from the NIH’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Montana, were focused on studying emerging viral pathogens and how they “cross the species barrier.” What were they doing with such material on a commercial flight? “This is very disturbing to me,” Redford said.

All such insanity is part of the world Anthony Fauci, and other members of the vaccinology cult, have left us with. Secret biological research supposedly undertaken to create future vaccines that will be, in theory, safe and effective against the viruses that Fauci and his fellow ghouls manipulated into mega-killers.

Vaccinology and virology, under the Fauci ethos, have become the wild wild west of biological research.

People should be outraged. There should be public demand for heads on stakes, for exposing the nation and the planet to such great risk.

And where’s the outrage in the press? That most of the legacy media decided this story wasn’t worth covering is almost as shocking as the biolabs news itself.

But there are reasons why The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN and MSNOW haven’t covered Gabbard’s biolabs disclosure. Because they support this insanity. Because their Big Pharma backers benefit from Fauci’s legacy. And because all of this government-funded research – corporate welfare really – provides the pharmaceutical industry with free research that allows them to reduce their vaccine development costs.

And as Kennedy informed us in The Wuhan Cover-Up, virology and vaccinology research doubles as bioweapons research.

To most of the sane world, surreptitiously creating bioweapons in labs speckled across the globe is a huge deal. But the legacy media has ‘bigger’ fish to fry: trying to take down Secretary Kennedy, one well placed hit piece after another. Why should the so-called Fourth Estate worry itself with exposing the truth?

Covid may have taught legacy media nothing but it has taught us to see how useless the once storied guardians of ‘truth’ have become – how far they have fallen from such aspirational mottos as “All the News That’s Fit to Print” (NYT) and “Democracy Dies in Darkness” (WashPo).

Young, a self-taught gardener whose writing has appeared in Country Living, WestCoast, and Martha Stewart Living, and Ottaviano, an artist, performer with the band Book of Love, and experienced recipe developer and food stylist, bring complementary strengths to the project.

They previously collaborated on the 2023 book The Green Witch’s Guide to Magical Plants and Flowers. In this new work they shift focus more directly toward healing—practical, emotional, and spiritual—while retaining a deep respect for plant traditions and folklore. The result feels less like a reference manual and more like a companion for daily life.

The book is organized into nine thematic chapters plus a joyful closing section called “The Healing Garden Picnic.” The chapters move from the physical (“Heal Your Body”) through the emotional and relational (“Heal Your Heart,” “Heal Your Life”) to the more inward realms of mind, sleep, skin, and soul. Each section offers a mix of teas and tonics, body-care preparations, simple nourishing foods, and small rituals.

What distinguishes the collection is the consistent, unforced invitation to approach these activities with intention. In Achilles’s Yarrow Headache Tea, readers are asked to focus on their breath while the herbs simmer. Morgana’s Garlic, Lemon, and Ginger Healing Tea includes a quiet moment to set an intention for healing and peace. These mindfulness prompts are woven throughout the book rather than tacked on. They turn the act of preparation itself into part of the remedy.

Ottaviano’s illustrations are integral to the book’s appeal. Created with colored pencils and Sennelier oil pastels, then cut and assembled by hand, they possess a textured, deliberately low-tech warmth. A stack of mismatched teacups spilling over with yarrow and chamomile, a whimsical blue stove surrounded by drying herbs and copper pots, a single luminous eye beneath a banner that reads “THE END—SEE YOU NEXT TIME!”—these images do more than decorate the pages. They slow the reader down. In a publishing world dominated by polished photography, the visible hand of the artist becomes its own quiet argument for presence and care.

The recipes themselves are accessible without feeling too basic. Many rely on ingredients that are easy to find or grow, yet the combinations are thoughtful and appealing. Calendula and bergamot come together in a melt-and-pour soap that doubles as an anti-inflammatory ritual. A spinach, fig, and walnut salad is dressed with aquafaba and miso. There is elderberry syrup for immune support, blood-orange tonic, lavender and pistachio chocolate bark for winding down, and rhubarb lemonade for summer afternoons. Short “Did You Know?” sidebars supply historical and mythological context—linking yarrow to the Greek hero Achilles or noting that medieval Europeans called calendula the “herb of the sun”—without turning the book into a scholarly treatise. The tone remains generous and encouraging: experiment, trust your intuition, compost the spent herbs, and enjoy the process.

What the book captures especially well is the full spectrum of healing the authors want to address. It moves easily from the physical relief of a headache tea to the emotional comfort of a heartbreak-helper blend named for Orpheus, from practical home-protection sprays to the deeper practices of earthing and forest bathing in the “Heal Your Soul” chapter

.The final picnic section feels like a natural culmination rather than an afterthought. Recipes for garden gin-and-tonic jars and hibiscus poached pears sit alongside reminders that joy and shared food are themselves restorative. Healing, in this view, is not only about fixing what hurts but also about noticing what already feels alive.

Plants That Heal arrives at a moment when many people, especially those in big cities, are seeking gentler, more grounded ways to care for themselves. Interest in herbalism, slow living, and nature connection has grown steadily in recent years, yet much of what fills bookshelves can feel either overly clinical or vaguely mystical.

Young and Ottaviano occupy a welcome middle ground. They respect ancient plant wisdom and mythic storytelling while keeping their feet firmly in the practical present. The emphasis on organic ingredients, cruelty-free methods, and simple sustainability (recycle jars, compost herbs, grow what you can) aligns with contemporary values without becoming preachy.

The book never claims to cure disease; a clear disclaimer reminds readers to consult healthcare professionals. Its contribution is different and, in its own way, valuable: it offers a sensory, repeatable path back to the plants that have supported human well-being for centuries.

The authors’ voices keep the pages inviting. Chris writes about intuition and gratitude with quiet conviction. Susan describes cooking as a love language and celebrates the pleasure of making art the old-fashioned way. Together, they create a tone that feels personal rather than prescriptive. Readers are encouraged to adapt recipes, substitute what they have on hand, and discover what works for their own bodies and lives.

Plants That Heal is not a book to race through. It is one to keep on the kitchen counter or bedside table, to return to when a headache needs easing, when a season is changing, or when the simple act of steeping herbs feels like the most radical thing one can do that day. In its pages, wellness becomes less a goal to achieve and more a practice of noticing, of caring, and of letting the green world do what it has always done best—offer its steady, fragrant support.

The now censored article found that 2,605 infant deaths (under age one) were reported to VAERS within 60 days of vaccination: 58% of cases were reported within 24 hours of vaccination while a supermajority (over 78%) of cases were reported within a week of vaccination. The uncensored article can still be read at the National Library of Medicine.

Writing on X, Secretary Kennedy explained his rationale for writing the letter.

“I sent this letter to the Editor-in-Chief of Toxicology Reports demanding a full explanation for the removal of a published article examining vaccines and sudden infant death. Americans have a right to know why scientific papers are removed, who made those decisions, what evidence supported them, and whether the same standards are applied consistently.”

In the letter, addressed to Lawrence H. Lash, the editor-in-chief of the journal and a professor of pharmacology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Kennedy writes, “We will restore trust in public health by insisting on transparency, accountability, and open scientific inquiry—not by asking the public to accept decisions behind closed doors.”

HHS Secretary Kennedy demanded the following of Lash:

1. How the removal decision was reached;

2. If, and which, experts were consulted in the investigation;

3. Clarification of treatment of corroborating literature cited by Miller;

4. Criteria for “potential implications for medical practice” as a reason for retraction.

In his article, Miller states that otherwise unexplained infant deaths after vaccination are often labeled as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), suffocation, or unknown causes. He argues that such sloppy labeling helps to conceal links between vaccines and infant deaths.

The peer reviewed article was apparently reviewed and retracted in May because nearly six years after its initial publication Toxicology Reports found the VAERS data was not reliable.

In an ironic twist, Secretary Kennedy is currently working to restructure VAERS in order to collect larger and therefore more accurate data samples. Many of the same forces that have previously censored or outright dismissed scientific research on vaccine safety have also resisted Kennedy’s attempts to improve VAERS.

But until such reforms happen, VAERS remains the largest repository of information related to vaccine injuries and deaths.

In his letter, Kennedy made it clear that the explanation provided by the medical journal was insufficient.

“The notice of removal you [Lash] issued had only two sentences explaining the retraction,” Kennedy wrote. “Given the high levels of public interest in vaccine safety and a history of both overt and obscure pressure against the study of some of these topics, such a brief notice of removal is woefully insufficient.”

Kennedy has repeatedly called out corruption and Big Pharma’s influence on what is published in medical journals. In 2025, he noted that in June of 2021, The Lancet published a letter, authored by Peter Daszak and his associates, titled, “Statement in support of the scientists, public health professionals, and medical professionals of China combatting COVID-19.”

In his letter, Kennedy called on the scientific community to resist criticisms of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the theory that the pandemic originated there. Daszak, it was later revealed, funded the lab in Wuhan through his organization, EcoHealth Alliance.

After Kennedy posted his letter on Monday, researcher Nicholas Hulscher responded that his recent study on the link between the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR) and infant deaths corroborated the findings of the Toxicology Reports article. It, too, Hulscher wrote, was recently removed from a publication — in this case, ResearchGate, an online platform that scientists use to share research with one another.

“It’s time to take more direct action against the Journal Cartel,” Hulscher wrote in his response to Kennedy.

The topic of a potential link between vaccines and the sudden death of infants in the United States is particularly poignant given the alarming number of babies that die unexpectedly every year, leaving families devastated.

CDC data shows 3,700 sudden, unexpected deaths of infants in the U.S. in 2022, the most recent year for which data is available. Of these, 1,529 were classified as SIDS deaths while 1,131 were said to be from unknown causes and another 1,040 from accidental suffocation or strangulation in a bed.

Medical Schools Sign Pledge to Teach Nutrition

Nineteen more American medical schools signed on to President Trump’s Nutrition Education Pledge this week, promising to include 40 hours of nutrition education in graduation requirements for all medical school students starting this fall.

Among the new participants are Florida Atlantic University, the University of Massachusetts, the University of Maryland, Hofstra University, Temple University, the University of Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, St. Louis University, and several osteopathic medical schools.

“Poor diets are the primary driver of America’s chronic disease epidemic, and today’s announcement reflects the shifting landscape toward placing nutrition and prevention at the core of patient health,” Secretary Kennedy said at a press conference on Monday. He was joined by several medical organizations, including the National Board of Medical Examiners, which also signed on to making nutrition a bigger priority in medical education.

HHS Invites Americans to Share Stories of Addiction

HHS Secretary Kennedy, along with Great American Recovery co-chair Kathryn Burgum, called on Americans this week to share their experiences with addiction by emailing HHS at reportsclearanceofficer@ahrq.hhs.gov with the subject line “Great American Recovery.”

“Tell us what’s working, what’s failing, and how the federal government can better support treatment, recovery, and healing,” he said in a video message posted to social media.

Kennedy said the agency would like to hear from people in recovery, but also from families, from treatment providers and community leaders, and that the information will be used to “help shape a stronger national recovery strategy.”

The focus on addressing addiction (and homelessness) in America is part of President Trump’s Great American Recovery, launched as an executive order in January. In addition to the request for information about addiction, Kennedy also announced this week that $40 million in grants through eight different programs will be awarded to programs aimed at preventing addiction and addressing childhood trauma, suicide and mental illness.

Tulsi Gabbard Releases Information on Secret Biolabs

Outgoing Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, released information on 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine and countries conducting dangerous gain of function research.

Gabbard said, “In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what ‘research’ is being conducted.” Gabbard is due to step down as DNI on June 30.

MAHA Sunscreen Ready for Summer

The FDA added bemotrizinol (also known as BEMT) to the list of permitted over-the-counter active ingredients in sunscreen. This broad-spectrum chemical filter, already used safely for decades in Europe and Asia, provides strong protection against both UVA and UVB rays, with low skin absorption, high photostability (does not break down easily in sunlight) and minimal skin irritation.

The addition expands access to more effective sun protection that better prevents skin cancer, premature aging, and skin damage caused by UV rays.

A Plan to Protect Seniors Against Scammers

HHS, via the Elder Justice Coordinating Council, has unveiled a comprehensive government-wide Federal Elder Justice Action Plan involving 17 federal departments and agencies. The plan aims to protect older Americans from pervasive scams and improve their access to support services.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensure seniors can age with dignity, independence, and security, highlighting that scammers steal an estimated $28 billion annually from older adults. The plan is paired with the “Never EVER” campaign, which warns that no legitimate government agency will ever ask someone to move their money for “protection.”

The USDA released the image of a tag that will soon be affixed to clothes and bedding made entirely of American cotton.

On June 11, President Trump signed the Restoring American Commercial Fishing in the Pacific Proclamation, which restores fishing in parts of the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument near Hawai’i, the Islands Unit of the Mariana Trench Marine National Monument, and the Rose Atoll Marine National Monument in American Samoa.

How many times did a parent or teacher tell you to be careful of the sun, wear a hat, apply sunscreen, and so on?

But what if all these well-meaning people were wrong? What if the sun is really our friend and is good for us?

That is part of the argument put forward by William F. Supple Jr., a Dartmouth-trained neuroscientist specializing in systems neurobiology, learning, and memory. In his new book, The Sunlight Solution (MAHA Books/Skyhorse Publishing, June 23, 2026), Supple says that the systematic campaign to remove sunlight from American life is making us vitamin D deficient and thereby driving epidemic levels of chronic disease.

Citing hundreds of peer-reviewed studies, Supple walks readers through the major physiological systems affected by vitamin D deficiency, from cardiovascular health and immune function to brain development and metabolic disease.

Nearly 80% of Americans now have at least one chronic disease, with 51.4% reporting multiple chronic conditions. This is up from 11% in the 1960s, according to the CDC, and is also the epidemic MAHA was created to reverse. Supple argues that if we fix vitamin D deficiency we take a major step toward helping Americans heal.

To understand why fixing vitamin D is so important, it’s equally important to note that it’s not really a vitamin at all. It is a master hormone, with receptors on virtually every cell in the body. That fact reframes everything that follows, starting with the cancer that the sun-avoidance campaign was created to prevent.

The Melanoma Paradox

Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, and for 50 years it has been the justification for the sun avoidance recommendation. But the data tells a stranger story, as Supple lays out with detailed evidence in Chapter 25. Melanoma frequently occurs on areas of the body that get little to no sun exposure, including the soles of the feet, palms, under fingernails, mucosal membranes and the groin.

People who work outside and get chronic sun exposure tend to have lower melanoma risk than indoor workers who get occasional intense exposure. Most striking, a Swedish study of 30,000 women found that avoiding the sun carries an all-cause mortality risk comparable to smoking.

Vitamin D deficiency is now linked to worse melanoma survival, meaning decades of sun-avoidance advice may have made the very cancer it was designed to prevent more deadly.

Is Sunscreen the New Margarine?

Americans started replacing butter with margarine to prevent heart disease, only to discover that trans fats were more dangerous than the butter. The same pattern is unfolding with sunscreen. The FDA’s own funded studies confirmed that oxybenzone, octinoxate, and other common sunscreen chemicals are absorbed systemically after a single application, reaching plasma concentrations more than 500 times the FDA’s safety threshold within days. And the damage from sun avoidance is not just skin deep; its far-reaching effects go to the bones and muscles as well.

Sunlight and Muscle

Skeletal muscle cells contain vitamin D receptors, and muscles that contain type II fast-twitch fibers have the highest concentration of vitamin D receptors. These muscle fibers dominate quick movements, like catching yourself before a fall. When vitamin D levels fall, these fibers shrink, setting off a preventable cascade of weakness, pain, inactivity, atrophy, fracture, hospitalization, and, in elderly patients, often death. Hip fractures in the elderly carry a one-year mortality rate of roughly 20 to 30% due to complications.

Vitamin D also inhibits myostatin, the body’s natural brake on muscle growth, so a deficiency suppresses muscle growth and strength, even when actively lifting weights. In the muscle chapter of The Sunlight Solution Supple writes that sarcopenia, the age-related loss of muscle, is not a disease of aging – instead, it’s a disease of chronic vitamin D starvation. That same deficiency that weakens muscles can also weaken the brain.

Immunity, the Brain, and the Autism Connection

Vitamin D is among the most potent modulators of immune-driven inflammation, which is the common mechanism underlying cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurodegeneration, and autoimmunity. Supple documents a decline in NIH funding for vitamin D research, finding a drop from $52.4 million to $10.5 million in 2024, even as evidence of its systemic significance has grown.

Then there is the autism question. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made this a central mission at HHS, and Supple’s evidence points squarely to one factor that has gone largely ignored. A recent study found that only 1.36% of pregnant women have sufficient vitamin D levels. Supple presents evidence that chronic maternal vitamin D deficiency creates a neuroinflammatory vulnerability in the developing brain, one that is then worsened by the neurotoxic exposures including sunscreen chemicals.

Supple extends his vitamin D argument into microplastics. In a recent Substack essay, he argues that microplastics may contribute to chronic inflammation in tissues, while vitamin D helps regulate the immune response that determines how much damage that inflammatory burden causes.

The science is still emerging, but the point fits the theme of The Sunlight Solution. In a world filled with modern environmental stressors, restoring vitamin D sufficiency may be one of the simplest ways to strengthen the body’s natural defenses.

For the MAHA movement, which is working to identify environmental and biological insults that may contribute to the autism epidemic, a population-wide hormone deficiency in pregnant women is a point that cannot be ignored. And the neuroinflammation appears to be reversible in children who have already been diagnosed. A clinical trial published in BMC Pediatrics found that after 15 weeks of vitamin D supplementation, children with ASD showed significant drops in inflammatory markers and meaningful improvement in behavioral symptoms.

This is just one of the many significant findings in Supple’s essential book. As the author helps me consider: There are real reasons a patch of sunlight feels so therapeutic, why we turn our faces toward it the way plants lean toward a window. We are built to seek the sun, and being told to fear it runs against something very primal in us. We are not meant to live in the shadows. We need the sun the way we need food, water, and sleep, along with the vitamin D that only it can fully give us.

Supple makes his case eloquently and with deeply researched science, showing how a single beam of light improves our physical and mental health, our resilience, and even the length of our lives. Sunlight is not a luxury or a hazard to be managed. It is a basic biological need, as old as life itself, and we should not let big medicine talk us out of the very thing we have always, instinctively, reached for.
